1 What is E-commerce
1.1 Meaning of E-Commerce
Currently, there are many definitions of e-commerce that have been set According
to the WTO definition: -commerce includes the production, distribution, marketing, sale “E
or delivery of goods and services by electronic means.”
In Vietnam, there is also a Government decree on e-commerce, which is: "E- commerce activities are the conduct of part or all of the process of commercial activities
by electronic means connected to the Internet, mobile telecommunications networks or other open networks."
For many consumers today, e-commerce is understood in a narrower sense: buying and selling goods and services through electronic means and the Internet These transactions include all activities such as trading, buying and selling, payments, ordering delivery, etc
If we talk about a typical example of e-commerce, we can mention Amazon - the largest online retailer in the world and continuing to grow extremely strongly In Vietnam, Shopee is the e-commerce platform with the largest market share in the market, with the highest number of visitors today
1.2 How E-Commerce Works
There are 6 basic types of e-commerce: Business to Business (B2B), Business to Customer (B2C), Customer to Customer (C2C), Customer to Business (C2B), Business to government (B2G), Customer to Government (C2G)

E-commerce has never been more popular than it’s now and it brings the most benefits to consumers, with data showing that about 2.14 billion people globally will shop online in 2021 And the total amount of money spent on e-commerce is increasing, with studies showing that this number is increasing every year So let's analyze some of the advantages of e-commerce for consumers used to better explain the above phenomenon: 2.1 Convenience
E-commerce brings lots of benefits which attract many customers The first convenience to mention is rich and up- -date information: Customers can easily find to information quickly and easily through search tools and online shopping applications such
as Shopee, Tiki, Lazada, At the same time, multimedia information (audio, image) on websites and social networks, you can easily find the item you need without putting any effort

Besides, purchasing anytime, anywhere helps customers overcome geographical limitations You can order an item from abroad without having to go to their store to pay, because there is payment by credit card, bank account, also without having to come to check the quality because the delivery service will let you check directly at home And it also helps customers overcome the limitation of shopping space, Tiki has advertising saying "No need to go far because Tiki is home" When shopping at supermarkets or large dealerships, you often have to wait to pay, the space is cramped and stuffy, and the surrounding noise makes customers uncomfortable when making purchases

to their needs For that reason, suppliers are constantly innovating to match and follow consumer trends
Thus, it is impossible to deny the importance of e-commerce in recent times, especially its role for society and consumers E-commerce makes society increasingly develop and through it, customers in many regions can easily access and purchase products and services At the same time, e-commerce also helps narrow the space and time gap between product and service providers and a large number of customers These are not small benefits that e-commerce brings to businesses and the whole of society, promoting economic development and especially consumers around the world
