companies, schools, enterprise,… Students after graduating will have great opportunities to approach with customs, cultures, behaviors from different countries Therefore, I decided to choose An Giang Radio – Television Station for my internship After training, I hope to improve myself, especially are in translation’ skills such as new vocabulary, structures in translation, listening and speaking The aim of this report is making challenges for myself in translation working, looking my abilities of English during the two months of internship I can see a general view through translation Station is developing and improving the quality of the sound, images as well as showed contents ATV’s program design is diversified that people can choose watching appopriate programs Radio program Listeners can hear morning, afternoon and evening news in news program through radio In majors and categories, the listeners can also enjoy ‘Radio story’, ‘Sport category’ or ‘Enjoying the life’ Beside that, many others such as ‘Bolero at weekend’, ‘Childhood garden’ or ‘Ancient music’can be easy to find in Music and Relaxation Television program There are many Television program to enjoy such as ‘Lastest News’, ‘Music Styles’, ‘Talkshow’, ‘M4U’ Especially, ATV has also invested and developed ‘Khmer Program’ successfully Humanitarian television program ATV informs listeners of kind actions helping the poor to break out of hard situation Periodically, many sponsors connect to ATV in bringing happiness to people in An Giang province and helping them to improve their life Many following programs are ‘ Home for the poor’, ‘From heart to heart’, ‘Support to go to school’ News program ATV reports news in An Giang province, news in the country, Social – Political, Market Economics, Entertainment Culture, World news, Sport, Life History of ATV  On September 2, 1977, at 5:00 a.m, the first radio program of An Giang Radio was established and broadcasted on AM 1170 Khz in Long Xuyen town, Long Xuyen city now Instructor: Mrs Duong Thi Diem Phuc  On March 25, 1993, the People's Committee of the province decided to exchage from An Giang Radio Station into An Giang Radio - Television Station, but had not yet broadcasted any television programs, ATV only focused on collaborating with Can Tho Radio – Television Station to improve radio quality  On August 19, 1998, An Giang Radio - Television officially broadcasted television on 36 UHF channel  September 2, 2009, ATV brang television waves to cable television system in region and Ho Chi Minh City  On January 1, 2011, there was an inauguration of An Giang Radio and Television Technical Center  On January 1, 2012, the 93.1 Mhz FM radio frequency was officially broadcasted  On January 2, 2012, the website of An Giang Radio and Radio Station was put into operation: https://www.atv.org.vn  In May 2013, ATV2 was tried to start is a Khmer ethnic-style channel that was broadcasted on channel VHF  On June 1, 2013, ATV2 was officially broadcasted with time 15 / 24h (05h00 - 12h00, 16h00 - 24h00), Khmer language  On April 1, 2018, ATV2 stopped broadcasting  On January 1, 2019, ATV aired on the fives translation assignments It was devided into two translation forms, translating from English into Vietnamese (four assignments) and vice versa (one assignment) Each assignments had about – exercises I will report my group translation for every assignments at first, after that there are attached corrections and comments from Mrs Ngọc Assignment 1: EXERCISE 1: (On February 24) EU, UK DEAL an individual translation assignment which included three exercises (English into Vietnamese) That was the time I felt eager because other people can see my ability in individual task Athough I faced topic that had given before Every internship group experienced 15 minutes to go whole prepared contents After that, I went to satellite team to record I chose a news in random for recording and I was there was a group translation (one video + one translation from Vietnamese into English) That was an expectance from our internship team LAM VIEN NUI CAM TOURIST ZONE Lam Vien Nui Cam is one of the spiritual tourist resorts of An Giang province, which attracts a lot of tourists outside and inside of the province to visit and worship Therefore, in order to attract tourists, besides focus on that Lam Vien Nui Cam is always green, fresh and will always be an interesting destination for the tourists Coming to Lam Vien Nui Cam these days, tourists can feel the change of the landscape very well, no more trashs, the bins are placed all over the roads Bringing the satisfaction to all guests In order to create the aesthetics as well as the habit of disposing of rubbish in the right place of the pilgrims, the Management Board of Lam Vien Nui Cam Tourist Zone has regularly propagated to raise people's awareness of the importance work to protect the environment; in conjunction with the youth union and concerned branches to well the work of environmental sanitation, clearing the bushes, clearing open drains along the two sides of the road up the mountain … The Management Board of Lam Vien Nui Cam Tourist Zone has also built septic toilets to meet the standards and regularly operate the water spray system under Thuy Liem lake to treat contaminated water due to food residue; group assignment was writing part that we was given before finishing the internship Writing Group An Giang Radio and Television Station is the place where we have chosen to intern at the end of the fourth year of college Up to the present, we have gained many once-in-a-life-time experiences from An Giang Radio and Television Station and our guide At this time, we would like to express our during the two months of the internship The most important thing is that we have received a lot of advice and contributed to improving ourselves First of all, all of us received considerable support from our mentor “Ms Ngoc” after a valuable internship at An Giang Radio and Television Station During the eight weeks of the internship, she taught us how to identify and comprehend the breaking news, encouraging us to ask questions to learn more about translation She commented on our English-Vietnamese translations Indeed, after receiving her feedback, we already know what more practice we need to become better in the next post Furthermore, members of ATV made us realize that time is one of the most important factors in our work, so we try to manage our time most effectively Another benefit to mention here is teamwork Teamwork makes work easier and faster There we work together in harmony, compensating for each other's defects so that the exercises gradually improve It has brought us, as a team, to increased self-awareness and responsibility Additionally, there were a lot of difficulties during our internship The first problem is doing the Vietnamese to English translation, during that homework we realized that our English wasn't well-prepared, we are not able to figure out what words to use or what grammar, it was such a huge problem for all of us Therefore, we also had troubles with the listening and write down part, as you know, when we studied at the campus, we only listen to the homework and focus on the main points of the conversation but not actually listen to the whole speech, so at the first time we the listening part we have difficulties at writing the whole speech down but we figure it out somehow Last but not least, our Vietnamese vocabulary is lacking, sometimes we know the meaning of the words in English but we can’t express it in Vietnamese, this is also one of our drawbacks that we need to fix 25 Instructor: Mrs Duong Thi Diem Phuc Even though there was a wide range of difficulties during the internship such as vocabulary or grammar mistakes in the process of translating from Vietnamese to English and vice versa, we have been making a determined effort to execute our crucial internship with flying color Nevertheless, with the spirit of learning and high determination, we have gradually improved ourselves day by day Furthermore, we simultaneously learned precious experiences and great translation tips from Miss Ngoc Thanks to the spirit of high solidarity, we dramatically learn and support each other throughout the internship process and gradually improve each individual in a team As a result, our shortcomings have been significantly improved In conclusion, we initially would like to express our gratitude to “Miss Ngoc” for providing us with a remarkable opportunity to become an excellent translator in the future Although the internship lasted not too long during the internship period, we have enormously experienced was accepted to internship in An Giang Radio – Television Station, I always spent time to study as well as cultivate knowledge Firstly, it can not deny that, I had an opportunity to meet many famous people who are editors, broadcasters, reporters and technicians They have worked hard and their working attitude has been serious, that has made me have motivation to develop myself 2.Disadvantages I faced with may difficulties in the two internship months in An Giang Radio – Television Station Firstly, I felt difficult to hear many news with the fast race, I had to return more time to make a complete word or phrase word Secondly, I was hindered by lacking vocabulary that it was in a particular field such as policy and economy – finance Thirdly, I had not translated to be out of hard meaning in complicated sentences Sometimes, I felt embarrassed in many words that made me ambiguous It required that I must base on the context 3.Lesson: In the last two months, I have learnt some interesting and useful things from my experience and other people’s comments  I have studied more new words while I was translating  I can work in group well after there were different team workings to complete assignments  I still can work effectively at home instead of at the office (ATV)  When I listened videos, I adjust my intonation in reading a text C Conclusion and suggestion: I received much useful feedbacks as well as suggestion from Mrs Phùng Thị Kim Ngọc and Mrs Dương Thị Diễm Phúc Finally, I was experienced with my dream from the most simple thing I was approached with kind people, an unanimous team and professional applying work I will always memorise this period of time and I expect that I will have an opportunity to get a job which is relevant to the activities I had experienced II.Suggestion 1.Suggestion for ATV: I want to give a proposal that trainees can approach and work in many other field such as interview and composing news 2.Suggestion for AGU: I want to suggest AGU that they can support and introduce AGU’s students to meet and work with many companies by expensive relationship I hope that AGU will not hessitate to help students to find a job after graduating Suggest for English major students  Trainees should find and understand something about internship place first  They need directly to contact with the internship place before depending on
