Week 28 Period 39 Unit 17: What would you like to eat ? Lesson (1,2,3) I.Objectives : By the end of this lesson, Ss can use - the words and phrases (packet, bar, glass, carton, biscuits, chocolate, orange juice, lemonade) related to the topic of eating and drinking - know how to ask and answer about what someone would like to eat or drink, use: “ Would you like to eat/ drink?- I’d like …,please.” - Ss can develop some following competences: + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 2, act + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act + Problem-solving and creative competence: act *Language focus: -Vocabulary: packet, bar, glass, carton, of biscuits, chocolate, orange juice, lemonade -Structure: Would you like to eat/ drink?- I’d like …,please -Differentiated teaching: + Incomplete ss: can answer about the food and drink + Well-completed ss: can ask and answer about some new food and drink II/ Materials: 1.Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette 2.Student’s: books, notebook, pen, pencil, ruler III/ Method: -Communicative Language Teaching -Total Physical Response -Natural Approach -3Ps -Work individually, pairwork, groupwork IV/ Teaching activities: Activity 1.Warm up: shark attack - grs Eat, drink Activity 2: Presentation Content 1: Look, listen and repeat: a.Teaching vocabulary: - packet, bar, carton, of biscuits, chocolate, lemonade b Set the scene: Look, listen and repeat: - Procedure: + Show the picture and elicit the answer of who the characters are + Explain what happens in the picture + Have Ss repeat the text in the bubbles a few times + Repeat the procedure with the picture b + Do choral & individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking + Play the tape for Ss to listen & say along + Write the pattern on the board Would you like to drink? - I’d like a carton of apple juice,please Activity 3: Practice Content 2:Point and say: Procedure: + Point to each character & the words in the picture to fill the question + Have Ss ask and answer as a model picture a +T asks-Ss answer , Ss ask- T answers + Work in pairs + Role play + Check as a class Good Ss will help the below average Ss S1: Would you like to eat?
