Through theoretical research and testing, the author has systematized the research results The thesis has clarified that the management of English teaching and learning activities in secondary schools is basically the good management of English language learning activities the following issues: teaching objectives and content, the implementation of the program, methods, the environment and conditions of teaching & learning, the preparation of lessons by teachers and students, Information Technology applications in teaching and learning, control Teacher's inspection and assessment and
supplementary activities for English learning such as extracurricular activities, clubs in the direction
of developing students' competencies Thereby promoting and improving self-discipline, self- inspection, and the mutual supervision to create a synchronous and effective management in teaching and learning system
Through surveying and analyzing the current situation, the thesis has assessed the current situation of English teaching and learning activities management in secondary schools in Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city
From the results of theoretical research and the actual situation of managing English teaching and learning activities, we conducted the research and proposed 6 groups of measures with the aim of fundamentally solving the shortcomings, weaknesses and promoting the strengths to bring English teaching and learning activities of secondary schools in the locality to reach higher quality and efficiency
1 Education to raise awareness for teachers and students about the importance of English 2 Directing professional group and teachers to develop English teaching programs in the direction of enhancing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
3 Directing in renovating English teaching methods in the direction of active students’ activities
4, Enhancing extracurricular activities in English to practice basic skills for students 5 Developing an English teaching and learning environment
6 Strengthening application of IT and multimedia to teaching and learning English The measures proposed above have an important role, forming a relatively complete unity and have a close relationship, support, and complement each other in the management of teaching & learning English activities At each stage and the actual conditions of each school, it is necessary to apply flexibly among measures to achieve the highest efficiency in English teaching and learning activities
