5.2 Hạn chế và hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo
Mặc dù luận văn đã giải quyết mục tiêu và câu hỏi nghiên cứu đề ra, nhưng đề tài vẫn cịn nhiều hạn chế, thiếu sót như sau:
Đầu tiên, luận văn chỉ phân tích 387 cơng ty phi tài chính niêm yết ở hai sàn, với số lượng cơng ty này vẫn chưa thật sự có thể đại diện cho tất cả các công ty đang niêm yết ở Việt Nam nói riêng và các cơng ty hoạt động ở Việt Nam nói chung. Do đó đây là hạn chế đầu tiên.
Hạn chế thứ hai của đề tài tập trung vào việc đưa các biến độc lập tác động đến mức tiền mặt đang nắm giữ chủ yếu dựa vào nghiên cứu của Orlova và Rao (2018) mà còn nhiều yếu tố khác có thể giải thích nhu cầu nắm giữ tiền nhưng khơng được đưa vào mơ hình nghiên cứu.
Hạn chế thứ ba là cách đo lường tiền mặt tối ưu cũng như các yếu tố đưa vào mơ hình nhằm phân tích tốc độ điều chỉnh tiền mặt của cơng ty cũng chủ yếu dựa vào nghiên cứu của Orlova và Rao (2018).
Từ các hạn chế đề tài này, luận văn cũng mạnh dạn đề xuất một số hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo nhằm hoàn thiện chủ đề hơn.
Đầu tiên, các nghiên cứu sau này có thể mở rộng số lượng doanh nghiệp được phân tích để có thể đại diện cho tất cả các cơng ty đang niêm yết ở Việt Nam nói riêng và các cơng ty hoạt động ở Việt Nam nói chung.
Tiếp theo, các nghiên cứu sau này có thể phân tích thực trạng tại Việt Nam yếu tố nào mới thật sự giải thích tỷ lệ tiền mặt để nắm giữ và đưa vào mơ hình nghiên cứu.
Cuối cùng, các nghiên cứu sau này cũng nên tìm hiểu thêm về các cách đo lường tiền mặt tối ưu cũng như các yếu tố khác có tác động đến tốc độ điều chỉnh tiền mặt của công ty.
