You not only impart knowledge in the easiest way to understand but also guide us on studying at home We hate going to school in the evening, doing homework, and being in detention But all of these are (DC19V1Q155) FIELD TRIP REPORT At the end of the year 2020, we had a spectacular field trip from Can Tho city to An Giang and Kien Giang province to finish the English Studies course It was a three-day and two-night trip with about 400-kilometer distance in total The field trip was not too short or too long, but we feel so happy as we had a chance to go there together It was an unforgettable trip from our point of view The trip had the following itinerary On the first day, we started going from Can Tho university at 4h30 to the stopover in Chau Thanh District of An Giang Province at 6h30, and we have breakfast there, with various delicious meals Most of us enjoyed Hu Tieu Soup that is a popular breakfast in the Mekong Delta At 7h30, we continued the trip, and this time Group one begins to manage the class from Chau Thanh District to Ba Chua Xu Temple in Chau Doc city of An Giang Province Ba Chua Xu Temple is a prosperity goddess worshiped in the Mekong Delta region as part of Vietnamese folk religions She is a tutelary of business, health and a protector of the Vietnamese border She is considered prestigious and is worshipped in her temple in Vinh Te village at the foot of Sam Mountain, An Giang Province A three-day festival is held in the town at the beginning of the rainy season, beginning on the twenty-third day of the fourth lunar month, in her honor Ba Chua Xu reached her peak of popularity in the 1990s and still entertains pilgrims every year with her responsiveness to loyal followers Group photo at Ba Chua Xu Temple Around 8h40, we went to visit the grave of Thoai Ngoc Hau Stories state that the Lady of the Realm protected Thoai Ngoc Hau (1761–1829), a mandarin representing the Vietnamese court during the early days of the south of Vietnam occupation, and was instrumental in creating and defending the border between Vietnam and Cambodia The legend states that his wife, Chau Thi Te, went to Ba Chua Xu's shrine on Sam Mountain to pray for her husband to defeat the enemy and bring peace to the land Thoai Ngoc Hau was able to fend off the Khmer troops, and Chau Thi Te showed her gratitude to the goddess by rebuilding the shrine that held her When the temple was complete, Chau Thi Te had a festival that lasted three days Those days became the annual date for the celebration for Ba Chua Xu Group photo at Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb Then, we moved to Tra Su Melaleuca Forest from 10h40 to 11h30, and we had lunch at 11h50 there If you are curious about what the Mekong Delta's wetlands look like, come to Tra Su Cajuput Forest – an ecotourism site turning green by the water ferns during the rainy season every year Tra Su is just about 30 kilometers southwest of Chau Doc, covering a vast area of 850 hectares Tra Su is an ecosystem of cajuput trees and a flooded mangrove forest, which are the home of many flora and fauna species The larger part of the forest is flooded with green water in the wet season, making an incredible sight, especially when the sunlight reaches down the water surface The forest is also the habitat for many colonies of water birds, bats, and even rare and endangered animals and reptile species There are 140 types of flora, 70 species of birds, 11 species of animals, 25 species of reptiles, and 23 kinds of fish To explore the forest and watch the birds, travelers will take a boat tour offered by forest's administration, paddled and guided by the local ladies When you are on a boat, you will have the luxury feeling of navigating through the carpet of green ferns so dense you cannot even see the water surface The rower will help you understand more about the forest, and here and there, she will tell the point where the birds are So get your camera ready for this particular photoshoot The boat will stop to take you to the cajuput forest with tall, green cajuput trees standing in line on the dirty sidewalk Entrance ticket costs 150,000VND per person, including a boat fee for a round trip You can also explore the area by motorbike, but it is harder to see the birds and the plants by motorbike The best time to visit is the rainy season from September to November, which Mac Cuu Mausoleum is located on Mac Cuu Street, right at the foot of Binh San Mountain, in Binh San Ward, Ha Tien town, Kien Giang province The relic is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in Ha Tien and is a place of worship for the Mac family The person who started was Mac Cuu Doge, who publicly discovered and developed this land 300 years ago Group photo at Mac Cuu Mausoleum Then, we climbed the mountain to across Phu Dung Pagoda, a pilgrimage and tourist destination that attracts tourists by its ancient beauty, in harmony with the unexplained mysterious stories behind the Temple's history The work was built by Ha Tien Mac Thien Tu (1706-1780) around the end of the 18th century for a second princess named Phu Cu (1720-1761) to be a monkhood Group photo at Phu Dung Pagoda Next, we went to Thach Dong Cave at 9h00 Thach Dong Cave is a huge limestone mountain in My Duc commune, Ha Tien, is a popular tourist destination in Kien Giang province Thach Dong is about 4km from Ha Tien city's center and only 3km from Cambodia's border Thach Dong mountain appears like the head of a majestic general looking to the sea, but it seems peaceful with green forests if seen from the edge At the base of the mountain lie pristine houses, while far away are the immense golden rice fields and sugar palm trees stretching out towards the sky Entering Thach Dong, we can see large and small caves formed from geological changes Inside Thach Dong is the Tien Son pagoda, believed to be built in the late 18th century to worship Shakyamuni Buddha and Bodhisattva Avalokitevara The caves’ large main entrance has stone stairs There are also three small gates linked to the upper part and a small gate connecting to an underground path called the “door to hell” On the caves' walls, there are protruding rocks that are now home to hundreds of pigeons The cave has many stalactites of varying shapes Tourists can see a three-meter stalactite at the front gate of the cave in an eagle's wing shape Thach Dong is also the place where Thach Sanh fairy tale came There is a small corner to the east of the cave, leading to “heaven”, as legend has it Thach Sanh got through this corner to kill the monster and rescue princess Quynh Nga and Thuy Te king's son Inside Thach Dong is the Tien Son pagoda, where one can pray to Shakyamuni Buddha and Bodhisattva Thach Dong cave is the background used in various films, including Thach Sanh Legend and Southern Land Thach Dong is a famous tourist attraction because it was chosen as the background for multiple films, including late kilometers south of Cambodia's border or a six-kilometer drive from Ha Tien, easily reached by motorbike or taxi It is easy to take a cab from Ha Tien to the beach, but hiring a motorbike to move there may create much more fun Way instruction: Follow No Street west from the junction at the end of the To Chau Bridge It takes you through a newly developed plot of reclaimed land at the mouth of used to come here for drinking water One day, the baby deer was too passionate about the beautiful nature of the sea and the sky in Ha Tien, it forgets the time of closing the forest gate and could not come back to the forest Sadly, the baby deer went back to the beach, lounging stroll But the night sea was not romantic and calm because of the strong wind season The wind blew strong; the wave was roaring The little deer fell into the sea From that on, people called this area: Mui Nai (mean the baby deer beach) Today, you will enjoy a panoramic beach view when walking to the top of the An Giang and Kien Giang provinces During the trip, I went to the field to observe, give presentations what I learned with real life Our exciting journey goes as follows: The first day, Ba Chua Xu Temple is a holy place for pilgrims to come and ask for her protection and benediction Many cultural activities like worshiping and dancing recur every year in Ba Chua Xu Temple Festival Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb is one of many monuments at the foot of Sam mountion There here has Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple, he and two lady tomb was built in the 30’s of the 20th century.I think this is the most beautiful site in Chau Doc which makes it a must-visit place once you set foot in the city All of the trees are sunk deep in the water, creating a unique environment in which to discover this “sunken” forest You can also witness the biodiversity of the plants: it possesses hundreds of fauna and flora which are on the edge of extinction It doesn’t stop there The most interesting thing is that you can explore every corner of this forest by boat and immerse yourself in the splendor of the Tra Sư forest The second day, Thach Dong Cave is a giant-80m-high rock standing on an exposed area From the middle of the rock, we can see the whole view of Ha Tien town and a part of Cambodia Thach Dong is not only famous for its beauty, but also for legend about Vietnamese hero Thach Sach saving princess Phu Dung Pagoda is located at the foot of Binh San Mountain We attacts by its ancient beauty, harmony with nature, but also by controversial mysterious stories about the Temple’s history Being quiet and natural, this becomes a glamorous characteristic for us come back to nature to Mui Nai at the afternoon The last day, Gifted with such unique beautiful landscape of mountain, Cam Mountain is popularly named as a Dalat in Mekong Delta because the climate in this area 73 is cool all year long Besides that, Cam Mountain also becomes more attractive to tourists due to its heart- warming legends and myths This trip is very rewarding for us We became more united, forged more skills and consolidated our learned knowledge, and learned many new things The fieldtrip is a beautiful ending not too short or too long, it made me feel tired but I felt happy when I went there with my class and brought me a lot of feeling that I could not describe in action The trip has the following itinerary On the first day, I started going from Can Tho university at 4h30 to the stopover in Long Xuyen city of An Giang province at 6h30, and I had breakfast with noodle soup pork bone This is a popular breakfast in the Mekong delta because it is delicious and cheap At 7h30, I continued my trip and this time Group one begins to manage the class from Long Xuyen city to Ba Chua Xu Temple in Chau Doc city Next, on the bus Group one introduced the trip schedule and had some games related to two places to visit in the morning Around 8h40 I arrived, after that, I went to the Temple incense and visited the grave of Thoai Ngoc Hau Ba Chua Xu Festival is one of the biggest religious events in the South, attracting nearly two million pilgrims yearly, and I heard that Thoai Ngoc Hau or his wife, Mrs Chau Thi Te, was the one who gave the order and assisted in the construction of the temple Today, the grave of Thoai Ngoc Hau is located under the Sam Moutain near the Temple for convenience of worship Then, I moved to Tra Su Melaleuca Forest from 10h40 to 11h30 and I had lunch at 11h50 The lunch is rustic food such as grilled snakehead fish, boiled snails, hotpot sauce-fish, and dessert The food is fresh, safe, and delicious, the local people very friendly and kind Moreover, the bamboo bridge in Tra Su Melaleuca forest is the longest in Southeast Asia and I’m proud of it Finally, I spent two hours from Tra Su to Ha Tien, at this time Group two continues the work of group one, Group two introduces the history of Ha Tien and play music on the bus, we really had a good time together I arrived place at 17h00, after 30 minutes I received the room I had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel The hotel there is near the beach, so when I finished dinner I went to the coffee so all feeling tired are gone After that, I took souvenir photos at the temple and I had some pictures with my class at the gate Pagoda Next, I went to Thach Dong Cave at 9h00 This place has a legend story associated with the childhood of children in Vietnam This is Thach Sanh and Ly Thong, Thach Sanh is a man who kills the monster and helps the princess to leave the Thach Dong Cave, finally, they are married I stand at the Thach Dong like I witnessed the most story vividly I returned to my room and eat lunch at 11h00 The lunch has some seafood such as squid, shrimp, and fish, it very fresh because this is the beach Furthermore, I took a nap in my room and I went to the Mui Nai beach at 15h00 At the beach, I had a marvelous time we played and talked with our class together, we ate seafood and drank some beer together, we took part in some interesting activities and took some pictures together At 17h00 I returned to the hotel again to prepared the gala dinner Finally, The gala started at 18h and have three classes take part in this event Three classes had dinner at the restaurant, after that we exchanged experiences in learning English We sang and danced, we played the games that the organizers offered We felt happy together all night, this is an awesome time for two years I studied English On the third day, I returned to Cam Mountain from 7h30 to 10h I climbed the mountain by a 16-seater car At the top of the mountain, I ate Banh xeo with my class This is the traditional food in the south of Vietnam, especially in the Cam Mountain After that, I went around and lit incense at the Maitreya Buddha statue The atmosphere is a little bit cold, it made me feel spring was coming, moreover, it's a truly relaxing and peaceful feeling after hard study At 12h30 I went down the mountain and came back to Can Tho University In the final road, I really felt emotional because everything goes too quickly, everything will be over in the next few hours and I did not want this to happen To sum up, I enjoyed this field trip very much My trip was very impressive and I could hardly have anything to complain about the trip Two years are not too long or too short but it was months of study and practice, our DC19V1Q2 class, I had a practical interesting, and meaningful trip It is a meeting for me to experience the best things with my teachers and friends after studying hard Also, the whole tour is a time for me to learn and connect about my English learning process as well as how I use English in practice Going for days nights from December 4th to 6th, 2020 with study destinations in Chau Doc-An Giang and Ha Tien, we are guided and managed by teacher Huynh Minh Hien who the homeroom of our class All members are divided into groups and each team covers one or two locations that we will visit In particular, my class and two other classes held a party to practice English and interact with new friends We did our best to connect and understand each other better On the first day, we departed at Can Tho University at 4:30 am During the time the bus moved to Sam mountain, Chau Doc district, An Giang province, my team was in charge of organizing activities enliven the atmosphere on the bus Ms Phuong Linh and Mr Tri briefly introduced the schedule and the places we are going to visit and study Thanh Phong and I performed the song Hello Vietnam Following that, Trong Nghia and Hong Phuc are MCs for a quiz game English-language questions regarding information on the two sites our group presented are the Temple of Ba Chua Xu and the Tomb of Mr Thoai Ngoc Hau Everyone was excited to participate in answering the questions and each correct answer will receive an attractive gift, which is hand sanitizer bottles and masks These gifts are very practical at a time when the whole world is going through the war against the COVID-19 pandemic At around 8:40 am we went to Sam mountain and traveled by tram to visit the Temple of Ba Chua Xu and Tomb of Thoai Ngoc Hau The feeling of riding the tram quickly through the roads is really enjoyable and a bit of thrill The Temple of Ba Chua Xu is an extremely famous spiritual site in An Giang province Every year at the end of the April lunar month, tourists from all over the world flock here to visit and attend the Ba Chua Xu festival Here we pray for the family, health, and a good trip Leaving the Temple of Ba Chua Xu, we moved to the Tomb of Mr Thoai Ngoc Hau Here, my group continued to lecture on the work of Mr Thoai Ngoc Hau He is respected as the second founding father of Chau Doc because he contributed to the reclamation of land in this part of the country After that, my class continued to depart for Tra Su 77 Melaleuca forest, the place known as the green lung of An Giang land We are divided into two groups to sit on two boats to go inside the Melaleuca forest and admire the beautiful scenery here with its rich ecosystem of flora and fauna I felt the freshness and comfort that could not be found anywhere else, with the satisfaction of the greenery of the trees and the sky My team went through the challenge of walking through the Melaleuca forest on a 2.2 km distance using a bamboo bridge The whole class continued to get on the bus to Ha Tien city, Kien Giang province After a long way, the whole class went back to the hotel to prepare for the next exciting trip That evening, the whole class was allowed by the teacher to organize fun activities in groups My group chose to go cyclo around the romantic city of Ha Tien at night On the morning second day, my class continued to visit the Tomb of Mac Cuu and Phu Dung pagoda We heard about Mr Mac Cuu's merit Then we moved to Phu Dung pagoda Around am, my class continued to visit and study at Thach Dong Cave We explore the cliffs, stalactites, and rich fantasies of the image of Princess Quynh Nga in the fairy tale Thach Sanh That afternoon our class had a memorable time in Mui Nai We took beautiful and meaningful yearbook photos with Mr Hien The pictures help us to keep memories together throughout the time we study together At 6:30 am, my class and two other classes held a Gala dinner Everyone enjoyed eating, chatting, singing, and dancing together All classes were really excited to perform exciting performances It was an unforgettable Gala for me On the last day, our class departed from Ha Tien city to Cam Mountain We took a jeep to the top of Cam Mountain, visiting three temples with splendid architecture After that, the group had lunch at Anh Dao Restaurant located at the foot of Cam Mountain Lunch is our farewell party and everyone feels happy The nice field trip must end, my class returned to Can Tho city at 6:30 pm During the bus ride from Cam Mountain to Can Tho, the whole class took turns sending deep and emotional songs to everyone At the end of the trip, Mr Hien gave our feelings and congratulated us on our success Mr Quang, representing the whole class, also sent sincere thanks to Mr Hien and the teachers of the Foreign Language Department This field trip really touched me and felt the bond from all members of the class I am truly grateful to the teachers who have taught us all the time Until now, I still cannot forget the memories I spent together with the homeroom teacher and the class during the field trip It is a beautiful end to one Code: DC19V1D152 FIELD TRIP REPORT 4th - 6th December 2020, 37 students with ours lecturers went for a trip from Can Tho to An Giang and Kien Giang province with an aim to visit the factulty of finish a course English study Day 1: Can Tho – Ha Tien The trip starts from Can Tho university at 4:30am to An Giang province through passing many rice fields, beautiful landscape, fruit plantations and stopover for breakfast in Long Xuyen city at 6:30am And then, we continued trip, at that time group one began to manage the class from Long Xuyen city and Ba Chua Xu Temple in Chau Doc city They introduced about history of forming Ba Chua Xu Temple, customs and etiquette when we visited there Besides, we played game and sang two song on the bus Around 8:40am we arrived to the Temple incense and visited the grave of Thoai Ngoc Hau Ba Chua Xu is one of the biggest religious events in the South of Vietnam, attracing nearly two million pilgrim yearly and the grave of Thoai Ngoc Hau is localted under the Sam moutain near the Temple for convenience of worship Then, we moved to Tra Su Melaleuca Forest from 10:30 am to 11:30am Tra Su Melaleuca forest is a large forest area located in Van Giao commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province It located on the area of 845 hectare and the buffer area of 643 hectare It's just away from the border of Vietnam - Cambodia 10 km In Trà sư mangroves there're 140 kinds of plant, most of plants in Trà Sư mangroves forest are melaleuca We had cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest,
