UNIT : WHERE DID YOU GO ON HOLIDAY? LESSON 3-( PART 1-2-3)

I.AIMS

1 Knowledge: By the end of this unit pupils can

- Pronounce two-syllable words with the stress on the first syllable: ’always,

’often, ’usuallyr and ’sometimes.

- Ss look after , solve problems and study themselves

Phonetic: ’always, ’often, ’usually and ’sometimes

2 Skills: Develop Ss speaking and listening skills

.3.Attitude:-In this lesson, studious and obedient students and love their hometown, family and friends

- Listen the CD and repeat the words & sentences in chorus

- Read in groups/ in pairs - Give out and check

Activity 2: 10’

- Read sentences in silence before listening the recording to the task

Have pupils look at the sentences and guess the suitable words to circle

- Play the recording times pupils to listen and circle

- Play the recording again pupils check their answers T give the answer:

- Have pupils to write on the boad the sentences - Check and correct

The rest of the class write in the notebooks

Activity 3: 10’

Teacher introduces the chant

-Play the tape Ask students to read each sentence in the chant

- Play the chant again and asks students to read - Ask students to read the chant, combine with slap their hands

-Divide class into groups to compete together groups to say the chant and actions The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm

Activity 4: 10’

Get pupils to compare their answersin pairs before checking as a class

-Divide class into groups : one group sings the first verse and the other sings the second
