Ask Ss to look at the picture on page 12 and then answer the questions: + What are the boys and girls in the picture doing ? + How they feel ? + What does the picture tell you ? * Suggested answers: + One boy is playing the guitar and others ( boys and girls ) are singing + They seem ( look ) very happy + The picture tells us that friends can happily many things together (or Friendship is a nice thing that brings happiness to us.) - Ask Ss to look at the list of adjectives provided in the book Sure that Ss understand them or not - Elicit or explain some adjectives quickly if necessary: + caring (adj) = kind, helpful, and showing that you care about other people (Chu đáo) + hospitable (adj)= Pleased to welcome guests; generous and friendly to visitors + modest (adj): not talking much about your own abilities or possessions + sincere (adj): saying only what you really think or feel (chân thành) + understanding ( adj): Showing sympathy for other people,s problems and being willing to forgive them when they something wrong ( thông cảm, thông hiểu) -
