PROCEDURES: 1/ The previous lesson: - Grammar: present progressive + present simple tense. - Vocabulary: the road signs. 2/ The new lesson: Steps & Time Teacher’s and Students’ activities Content Warm up 5’ Teacher shows student a picture of the body Question – answer What is the picture about? Parts of the body. Answer the questions. Presentation A1 10’ * Pre-teach vocabulary: - Teacher says parts of the body in English. Ss listen. - Teacher labels the P of B picture as pre teaching. - Mention the pronunciation of the final sound and the irregular form of the word “foot”. Have them practice these sounds. - Play the tape (1 st time) - Students listen to the tape + repeat. - Have them write the words. * Rub out and remember Use techniques “ Rub out and remember the labels” - T gets students to re-label the picture - Teacher reads the imperative, beginning with “Simon says …”, students will do it * Simon Says: * Vocabulary Head Chest Shoulders Arms Hands Legs Feet/ a foot Fingers toes 1 - Simon says touch your head Simon says touch your chest Simon says touch your feet Touch your shoulders!
