First Friends – Unit – My friends - Lesson 3+4 Sound /Sh/, Vocab: shoes, sheep, fish Express feelings: Are you…? Yes I am No I am not Activities Procedure Warm up (5mins) Teaching New words (10 minutes) Practice vocabulary (20 mins) Teaching Structures (10 mins) Practice Teacher (T) Students (Ss) - Greeting - Ask the Ss t look at pages 10, 11 and ask them “Who are the boys in the picture” (Baz and Sam) “ where are they?” (at school) - Hold up each flashcards, say and let Ss repeat - Play the audio track 10 , pause after each word, and let Ss listen and point/ repeat - Gradually reveal each cards and let Ss guess what it is - Say the words and let Ss repeat - Ask some Ss to read the words to check if they remember or not - Write word on the board, hold up any card, if the word and the picture match, Ss say Yes, if not, Ss say No - Write the beginning letter of a word and let Ss guess what word it is, let them finish the words - Call Ss, ask them write words, the faster is the winner - Ask Ss to look at page 10, ask them to guess who is the woman in the picture ( expected answer – music teacher) - Tell them the name of the music teacher is Ms Brown - Explain to Ss “who’s this?” and “What’s this” by giving them some examples like point to a thing and ask the “what’s this” and point to a person and ask “Who’s this?” - Play track 12, pause sometimes and let Ss repeat some phrases - Ask Ss to role play the dialogue - Put all flashcards in a bag - Greeting - Look at the picture and answer -Listen and Repeat - Listen and point/ repeat - Guess - Say Yes or No - Guess - write words on the board as fast as possible - Guess - listen, repeat - Role play - a S takes out a flashcard and structure (10 mins) Play dice (15 mins) Deliver worksheet and check understandin g individually 15 mins - Call a S to take out a card randomly and ask other Ss “who’s this”, “what’s this” - Prepare a die and a board (As bellow) - Give each S a magnet (with different color ) - Ask Ss to roll the die and move the die the same steps that the die indicates - ask the S to ask and answer about the image where his/her magnet tops - Who finishes first is the winner ask the questions - the rest Ss answer the questions - Roll the die Move the magnet - Ask and answer ... indicates - ask the S to ask and answer about the image where his/her magnet tops - Who finishes first is the winner ask the questions - the rest Ss answer the questions - Roll the die Move the
