Speeding It Up The product selection process is time-consuming, but there is a way to speed it up—use an app! There are two apps in particular that can be quite helpful. Choose from one of the following: Copyright © 2017 Amazing Selling Machine www.getwsodo.com www.getwsodo.com DS Amazon Quick View Extended, which has two versions: Free $14.99 one-time fee AMZ Seller Browser App (free) We recommend choosing the paid version of DS Amazon Quick View Extended, because: It is more reliable It shows more results It allows you to search in Germany and the UK It includes information about price and BSR history AMZ Seller Browser misses a lot of results, which could mean you lose out on a great opportunity 2. The Spreadsheet In the next lesson, we are giving you a spreadsheet made with Google Sheets to help with the product selection process. You can use it through either your own Google account (gmail, etc.), or an existing spreadsheet application. 3. Installing Chrome YOU MUST INSTALL GOOGLE CHROME IN ORDER TO USE YOUR APPS! Take the following steps to install the Google Chrome browser: Go to google.com and search for “Google Chrome.” Your result page will look like this: Copyright © 2017 Amazing Selling Machine www.getwsodo.com www.getwsodo.com Click the link at the top of your results page, then click “Download Chrome” (Google automatically detects the type of system you are using to give you the correct version). Follow the instructions that Google provides (it is a very short process). 4. Downloading the App Take the following steps to download the DS Amazon Quick View Extended app: Go to google.com and search for “DS Amazon Quick View Extended,” then click the link to the webstore, which will look like this: Copyright © 2017 Amazing Selling Machine www.getwsodo.com www.getwsodo.com Click “Buy For $14.99.” (Note: You can opt for the free version, which is simply called “DS Amazon Quick View.” The download and install process remains the same). You will see the small, orange icon in the top right corner of your browser, once the app is fully installed. 5. Downloading Google Sheets Make sure that you have a gmail account before proceeding. Then, take the following steps to use shared documents in Google Sheets: Go to google.com and search for “Google Sheets,” then click the top link (https://www.google.com/sheets/about/). Click “Go To Google Sheets.” Now, you have access to any Google Sheets that have been shared with you or that you have uploaded yourself, including the product selection sheet that you will have access to in the next lesson. 6. How the App Helps the Search and Selection Process Please remember that even though the app helps make the product selection process quicker and easier, the process is still time-consuming, and requires you to be patient and methodical. This might seem tedious now, but it will pay off in the long run, when you have selected some viable, competitive products. Click “ See All 36 Departments” in the left sidebar, and select the category you want to search in. (Note: You will only need to do this if the categories do not show up in the search bar itself). Once the app is installed, you will see important information underneath each product listing. This important information includes the BSR# of the top level category—seeing this with the product image saves you from having to open each individual product in a new tab (an extremely tedious process). Be patient and methodical, because you will search through multiple pages before finding viable products. You may choose your first 15 to 20 products, only to find that none of them are viable for you to sell, according to the ASM criterial. Think of this as a good thing—your willingness to continue searching methodically for the right product puts you ahead of everyone else who is willing to quit when it feels like too much effort!
