LESSON PLAN UNIT 3 Period 16 ( B 3 – B 4 ) Teacher: Nguyen Huu Tinh Class:7 Date of preparing:13/10/07 Date of teaching: 18/10/07. I/. Objectives Developing students’ strategy of defining occupations Listening for specific information Developing speaking , listening and writing skills II/. Language contents Grammar : Review : present simple tense Vocabulary , words related to occupations III/. Techniques Role play Listening and filling the form IV/. Teaching aids Forms & cassette recorder + tape V/. Times : 45 minutes VI/. Procedures A/ Review ( 5’ ) Questions & Answers ( 4 sts ) B/ Presentation of the new lesson Teacher’s / ps’ activities Content I/ Warm up: T: Have ps to play games. Ps: Play games. T: Controlls the class and remarks. II/ Presentations: 1. Activity 1: A/ Pre-teaching T: Asks ps to look at part 3 page 35 and introduces the content of the lesson. Ps: Take notice. B/ While –teaching T: Explains how to do exercise Ss: Do their exercises T:Having Ss check their results C/ Post –teaching T: Asks ss to write the answers on the board. Ss : Write the answers on the board T: Corrects 2. Activity2 : A/ Pre-listening T: Asks ps to look at the part 4 & introduces the content of the leson. Ps: Listen to taecher & take notice. T: Introduces some more informations. Ps: Take notice & copy. T: Reads new words. Ps: listen & repeat. T: Explains how to listen to the tape. Ss :Read these forms carefully B/ While –listening T: Have ps to listen to the tape * Noughts and crosses journalist your father farm newspapers hospital help where doctor housework 3. Match the half- sentences: You have four names of job and their definitions on the other side. Now you read and match the name with the most definitions. e.g : A farmer works on a farm Check the result with a partner. Now write the answers on the board. A farmer works on a farm A doctor take carwe of sick people. A journalist write for newspaper. A teacher teaches in a school. 4.Listen.Complete these forms for the three people on the tape. These are the forms of three persons consist of: name, age, job and place of work. You listen to the tape and complete the forms.
