* Form:

1 To Be: ( am / is / are ) a) Affirmative:

b) Negative: ( phủ định )

Note: Trong thời hiện tại thường, cỏc ngụi (thứ nhất

số ớt/nhiều, thứ 3 số nhiều) được chia như vớ dụ tổng quỏt 1/ trờn đõy, riờng ngụi thứ 3 (ba) số ớt (He, she, it

- Tom, John, Hoa ), ta cần lưu ý cỏc quy tắc sau:

1 Phải thờm "s" vào sau động từ ở cõu khẳng định ( V+s)

Vớ dụ: He likes reading books.

She likes pop music

- Cõu phủ định (Xem vớ dụ tổng quỏt 2/ trờn đõy )

- Cõu nghi vấn? (Xem vớ dụ tổng quỏt 2/ trờn đõy)

2 Ngoài việc "s" vào sau động từ, ta phải đặc biệt chỳ ý những trường hợp sau:

2.1 Những động từ (Verbs) tận cựng bằng những chữ sau đõy thỡ phải thờm "ES".

S, X, Z, CH, SH, O (do, go) + ES

Vớ dụ: miss misses

mix mixes buzz buzzes watch watches wash washes

 Nếu trước Y là nguyờn õm (vowel) thỡ sẽ chia như quy tắc 2.1 trờn đõy Y Y + S

Vớ dụ: She plays the piano very well.

 Nếu trước Y là phụ õm (consonant) thỡ sẽ chia như sau:

Ex Ha noi is going to be 1000 years old

2 Usage: Be Going To dựng để bày tỏ:

- Tương lai gần (near future )

Vớ dụ: I am going to stay at home tomorrow (tụi dự định sẽ ở nhà vào ngày mai )

- Kế hoạch cho tương lai nhưng chưa cú thời gian và nơi chốn rừ ràng, cụ thể (future plant )

Vớ dụ: A: What are you going to do weekend? B: I am going to have a picnic with my English club

- Dự đoỏn cú căn cứ (prediction )

Vớ dụ: He goes to the library He is going toread book (Căn cứ anh ấy đi vào thư viện Anh ấy sắp đọc sỏch )

T - whole class

a) Form:

S + tobe + adj + enough + to V-infi (1)

S + tobe + adj + enough for sb + to V-infi (2)

Meaning: đủ ……….để làm gỡ…

Ex I am tall to keep the goal

b) Usage: " Enough to " dựng để chỉ một

nguyờn nhõn đưa tới một kết quả tất nhiờn

Ex He is sick enough to need a doctor

+ Nếu động từ theo sau diễn tả một sự việcđược thực hiện bởi chủ ngữ khỏc với chủ ngữcủa động từ đi trước, thỡ ta dựng cấu trỳc (2)

Ex These oranges are ripe You can eat them

These oranges are ripe enogh for you to eat.

+ Nếu tõn ngữ của động từ theo sau thuộccựng một người hoặc một vật với chủ ngữ của

động từ đi trước, thỡ ta khụng nhắc lại nú.+ ENOUGH TO cú thể dựng sau một danh từ,thay vỡ sau một tớnh từ hoặc một phú từ

* Cỏch dung: Thỡ hiện tại tiếp diễn diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra tại lỳc núi trong hiện tại

Vớ dụ: She is listening to music at the moment

* Lưu ý: - Hiện tại phõn từ được thành lập bằng cỏch them “ing” vào sau dạng nguyờn thể của động từ

Vớ dụ: run  running begin

- Thỡ hiện tại tiếp diễn thường được dựng kốm với cỏc trạng từ “now, rightnow, at the moment, at present” để nhấn mạnh tớnh chất đang tiến hành của hành dộng ngay lỳc núi

2 Usage:Thỡ quỏ khứ đơn dựng để:

- Diễn tả một hành động đó xảy ra trong quỏ khứ, đó chấm dứt và khụng cũn liờn quan đến hiện tại

-Diễn tả 1 chuỗi hành động xảy ra kế tiếp nhautrong quỏ khứ
