Aims and objectives: - Language content:To introduce some new words related to saving energy. To introduce the structures of making suggestions and phrasal verbs. - Language function: By the end of the lesson, the ss will be able to understand the dialogue about saving energy. - Educational aim: To make ss be aware of the importance of saving energy. 3. New lesson : Teaching steps Teacher’s activities Students’ activities The lesson content I.Presentation of new material 5ms 9ms 13ms 1. Lead-in: - Hang the picture and ask: a. Is there anyone in the picture? (weak ss) b. What’s happening? (good ss) c. What should we do to save energy? - Let ss find answers. - Get answers. - Give feedback. - Tell the aim: saving energy. 2. Pre-practice: a. Set the scene: Mrs.Mi and Mrs.Ha ate talking about how to save energy. b. Teach new words: * Check understanding: What and where c. Structure: Eg. I suggest taking showers. 3. Controlled-practice: - Play tape twice. - Let ss practice dialogue. - Get some pairs to check and correct mistakes. * T/ F statements. - Ask ss to read dialogue and - Answer. a. No b.
