CHUYÊN ĐỀ BỒI DƯỠNG HỌC SINH GIỎI: CÂU ĐIỀU KIỆN TRONG TIẾNG ANH

Trong quá trình giảng dạy bộ môn Tiếng anh lớp 8 và 9 tại trường THCS tôi thấy phương pháp dạy học câu điều kiện truyền thống là : giáo viên là trung tâm còn học sinh chỉ thụ động ngồi nghe và ghi lại những gì giáo viên nói nên tiết học ngữ pháp trở nên rất nặng nề, các em học sinh thiếu tính sáng tạo tư duy trong quá trình học. Nhưng để tìm thấy một bộ sách tham khảo các phương pháp dạy câu điều kiện hiệu quả thì vẫn là vấn đề khó khăn đối với mỗi giáo viên . Bên cạnh đó có rất ít đồ dùng dạy học , giáo cụ trực quan phục vụ cho việc dạy về phần ngữ pháp này. Vậy làm thế nào để dạy câu điều kiện hiệu quả ? Đó là câu hỏi mà tôi luôn trăn trở và thôi thúc tôi viết chuyên đề này.

Đó câu hỏi mà trăn trở thúc viết chuyên đề III Đối tượng phạm vi nghiên cứu Tôi lấy đối tượng học sinh lớp 9A năm học 2012 - 2013 để nghiên cứu Ban đầu theo dõi tình hình học tập lớp thấy phần lớn em ngại yêu cầu thực hành làm tập câu điều kiện làm nhiều sai sót kết sau: - Lượng học sinh : 30 em - Chất lượng trước thực chuyên đề : Giỏi : chiếm : 27 % Khá : 10 chiếm 33 % TB : 10 chiếm 33 % Yếu : chiếm % IV Mục đích nghiên cứu : Chuyên đề nhằm giúp hệ thống hoá toàn câu điều kiện : dạng bản, dạng đặc biệt, khái niệm cách sử dụng loại câu Bên cạnh giới thiệu số hoạt động dạy học câu điều kiện V Điểm kết nghiên cứu: Thực tế kiểm tra cho thấy sách giáo khoa từ lớp đến lớp đầy đủ dạng câu điều kiện nên đối tượng học sinh khá, giỏi tài liệu để học mở rộng nâng cao Nếu học sinh có tìm đọc sách tham khảo khó để hệ thống kiến thức cách logic khoa học Qua chuyên đề muốn cung cấp số dạng câu điều kiện nâng cao dùng cho đối tượng học sinh đại trà học sinh giỏi giúp học sinh dễ nhớ, dễ nhận biết làm tập câu điều kiện Bên cạnh xin mạnh dạn giới thiệu số kinh nghiệm nhỏ giúp cho việc dạy câu điều kiện đạt hiệu cao PHẦN B : NỘI DUNG *Thực trạng vấn đề Từ học sinh, học phần ngữ pháp câu điều kiện suy nghĩ làm để nắm phân biệt loại câu điều kiện làm để làm tập liên quan đến câu điều kiện đạt kết cao Chẳng hạn như: câu điều kiện loại nào? Phải chia động từ nào? Hay làm để chuyển từ tình cho sang câu điều kiện? Đó điều làm thời điểm em học sinh gặp khó khăn trình học Tuy nhiên với chương trình SGK nay, lấy người học làm trung tâm, yêu cầu giáo viên học sinh phải có tầm nhìn tích cực trình dạy học Vì học sinh có khả tư duy, sáng tạo chủ động hơn, đồng thời giáo viên đầu tư nhiều nghiên cứu kĩ cho giảng để giúp việc học ngữ pháp bớt căng thẳng * Các biện pháp tiến hành để giải vấn đề : Xuất phát từ đối tượng trình dạy học học sinh THCS ý thức tự rèn luyện em chưa cao, ảnh hưởng đến chất lượng dạy học.Trong trình giảng dạy, nhận thấy em gặp nhiều khó khăn nói đúng, viết làm tập câu điều kiện Từ khó khăn, trải nghiệm trình học tập giảng dạy, chọn đề tài “ Một số kinh nghiệm dạy câu điều kiện môn Tiếng Anh THCS” làm vấn đề nghiên cứu Sau phần giới thiệu số kinh nghiệm nhỏ trình dạy câu điều kiện : I Conditional sentences ( CÂU ĐIỀU KIỆN) 1.Definition : ( Định nghĩa) Câu điều kiện dùng để nêu lên giả thiết việc, mà việc xảy điều kiện nói đến xảy Câu điều kiện gồm có hai phần (hai mệnh đề): Mệnh đề nêu lên điều kiện ( IF - CLAUSE) mệnh đề phụ hay mệnh đề điều kiện Mệnh đề nêu lên kết mệnh đề ( MAIN- CLAUSE) Ví dụ: If it rains , I will stay at home If – clause - Main clause Hai mệnh đề câu điều kiện đổi chổ cho được: mệnh đề đứng trước hai mệnh đề không cần dấu phẩy, ngược lại phải có dấu phẩy Ví dụ: You will pass the exam if you work hard If you work hard, you will pass the exam Types of conditional sentences (Các loại câu điều kiện) 2.1 Conditional sentence type ( Câu điều kiện loại 0) Câu điều kiện loại diễn tả thói quen, hành động, kiện luôn đúng, đưa định nghĩa, chân lý Conditional sentence type If clause If + Present simple tense Main clause Present simple tense For example: If water reaches 100 degrees, it boils (It is always true, there can't be a different result sometimes) If I eat peanuts, I am sick (This is true only for me, maybe, not for everyone, but it's still true that I'm sick every time I eat peanuts) • • Tất động từ câu (mệnh đề mệnh đề điều kiện) chia đơn Nếu diễn tả thói quen, mệnh đề thường xuất thêm: often, usually, or always Ví dụ: o I often drink milk if I not sleep at night o I usually walk to school if I have enough time Ví dụ: If people eat too much, they get fat People die if they don't eat If babies are hungry, they cry 2.2 Conditional sentence type ( Câu điều kiện loại 1) Chỉ việc xảy tương lai (Một hành động sẽ chỉ xảy tương lai nếu có một điều kiện nào đó chắc chắn được thoả mãn vào thời điểm đó Tuy nhiên, chúng ta không biết liệu điều kiện đó có xảy hay không (cho dù nhiều khả nó sẽ xảy ra), nên chúng ta dùng câu điều kiện loại – câu điều kiện có thể xảy ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai.) Example: If he asks me to be her girlfriend, I will say yes! Conditional sentence type If clause Main clause If + Present simple tense S + will/ modal + V- inf Example: If I find her address, I’ll send her an invitation (I want to send an invitation to a friend I just have to find her address I am quite sure, however, that I will find it.) Example: If John has the money, he will buy a Ferrari (I know John very well and I know that he earns a lot of money and that he loves Ferraris So I think it is very likely that sooner or later he will have the money to buy a Ferrari.) 2.3 Conditional sentence type 2: ( Câu điều kiện loại 2) • • Câu điều kiện loại II gọi câu điều kiện thực Điều kiện xảy tương lai, điều kiện giả thiết, ước muốn trái ngược với thực trạng Conditional sentence type If- clause If + Past subjunctive Main clause S + would / could / might + verb Example: If she were him, she would not this Example: If I found her address, I would send her an invitation (I would like to send an invitation to a friend I have looked everywhere for her address, but I cannot find it So now I think it is rather unlikely that I will eventually find her address.) Example: If John had the money, he would buy a Ferrari (I know John very well and I know that he doesn't have much money, but he loves Ferraris He would like to own a Ferrari (in his dreams) But I think it is very unlikely that he will have the money to buy one in the near future.) 2.4 Conditional sentence type ( Câu điều kiện loại 3) • • Câu điều kiện loại III câu điều kiện thực khứ Điều kiện xảy khứ, mang tính ước muốn khứ, giả thiết trái ngược với thực trạng khứ Conditional sentence type If- clause If + Past Perfect tense Main clause would have S + could have might have + past participle Example: If I had found her address, I would have sent her an invitation (Some time in the past, I wanted to send an invitation to a friend I didn't find her address, however So in the end I didn't send her an invitation.) Example: If John had had the money, he would have bought a Ferrari (I knew John very well and I know that he never had much money, but he loved Ferrari He would have loved to own a Ferrari, but he never had the money to buy one.) 2.5 Mixed Conditionals (Câu điều kiện hỗn hợp) a Câu diễn đạt giả thiết trái với khứ dẫn đến kết trái với Past Unreal Conditional Present Unreal Conditional Examples: If I had won the lottery, I would be rich (But I didn't win the lottery in the past and I am not rich now.) • If I had taken French in high school, I would have more job opportunities (But I didn't take French in high school and I don't have many job opportunities.) b Câu diễn đạt giả thiết trái với khứ dẫn đến kết trái với tương lai • Past Unreal Conditional Future Unreal Conditional Example: If Mark had got the job instead of Joe, he would be moving to Shanghai (But Mark didn't get the job and Mark is not going to move to Shanghai.) c Câu diễn đạt giả thiết trái với dẫn đến kết trái với khứ Present Unreal Conditional Past Unreal Conditional Examples: If I didn't have to work so much, I would have gone to the party last night (But I have to work a lot and that is why I didn't go to the party last night) d Câu diễn đạt giả thiết trái với tương lai dẫn đến kết trái với khứ • Future Unreal Conditional Past Unreal Conditional Examples: If Donna weren't making us a big dinner tonight, I would have suggested that we go to that nice Italian restaurant (But she is going to make us a big dinner tonight, and that is why I didn't suggest that we go to that nice Italian restaurant.) e Câu diễn đạt giả thiết trái với tương lai dẫn đến kết trái với • Future Unreal Conditional Present Unreal Conditional Examples: • • If I were going to that concert tonight, I would be very excited (But I am not going to go to that concert tonight and that is why I am not excited.)
