IV)Teaching aids: poster , chalk… V)Procedur e: 1)Warm up:( 6ms)(chatting) - Can you tell me six verbs which you’ve learnt in English 6?. - How many tenses have you learnt in English 6? 2)New lesson:(37 minutes) Teacher asks Ss to tell the structures of the present simple tense, then give some examples Students’ answers : 1-Affirmative: Example: I go to school everyday. Nga watches T.V on Sunday . Lan reads books after school. 2-Negative: S+ don’t / doesn’t + V (inf) + o Example: We don’t play soccer on Mondays. Nga doesn’t listen to music in her free time. 3-Interrogative: Do / does + S + V (inf ) + o ? Yes, + S + do / does . No, + S + don’t / doesn’t. Examples: Does Lan do her homework ? Yes, she does . No, she doesn’t. After students practice the simple prsesent tense teacher asks them to say the structure of the present progressive tense. Students’answers: 1-Affirmative: is S + be + am + V-ing + O. S + v ( I, we , you, they) . S+ v + (es / s) ( he , she , it ) . 1 are Example: She is playing volleyball now. 2- Negative S + be + not + V-ing + O. Example: We aren’t reading a book now. 3- Interrogative: Be + S + V-ing + O ?. Yes, + S + be ./ No, + S + be + not. Example: Are they listening to music at the moment ? . Yes, they are. After students practice the prsesent progressive tense teacher asks them to give an example about the modal verb then show the structure of the Modal verb. Example: Mai can write a long letter in English . Form: S + Modal verb + V(inf) + O . 3- Production: Teacher asks Ss to give some examples of the simple present tense and present progressive, modal verbs. 4-Homework :(2ms) Review these structures again .
