New lesson : Teacher’s and Students’ activities Contents 1. Warm up : + Have Ps work with a partner to discuss what they would do in the situations which require first-aid a. a girl has a burn on her arm b. a girl has a nose bleed c. a boy has a bad cut on his leg d. a boy has a bee sting. * Some words cues: emergency room, medicated oil, water pack, ice, alcohol, sterile dressing 2 . Presentation : * Read the dialogue once then preteach vocabulary - Guide Ps to read the words in chorus. - Call them to practice reading in front of the class. + Checking by Rub out and remeber + Explain the use of the future tense I. Getting started : * Sample ideas: a. I’ll use cold water to ease the pain. I’ll take her to the nearest clinic. I’ll get her an ice pack b. Let her stand straight. New lesson : Teacher’s and Students’ activities Contents  Warm up: Brainstorming: - Have Ps work in groups to write as many words as possible about the situations that require first- aid. - Call some Ps to give the situations they know.  Presentation:  Pre Speaking - T: Asks ps some questions to guide them how to speak the requests, offers and promises they’ve learnt. - T: Write the model on the board after ps repeat them a few times.  While speaking: - Get ps to work out the rules for themselves by asking questions after formulating the model sentences, elicit some more phrases with the same use from ps.  Post speaking: - T: Guides. - Ps: Look at the pictures on page 82, following situation “a” and play the roles (pairwork) the other situations. - T: Corrects. - Ps: Take turn and practise again. + Possible answers - have a nose bleed - have a burn - have a cut - have a bee sting * Questions: 1. Post- Listen: - Ps: Listen to the tape carefully and put A, B, C, D, E, F in the correct order as you hear. guiding situation: b.
