Prompt – based writing :

- arrange SS into groups of four

- give each group some prompts given to write complete sentences, then add suitable connectors to link those sentences into a paragraph

- go around to monitor the class and give help where needed

- ask group representatives to read out their paragraphs

- call on SS to write the sentences up on the board

- tell SS that the completed paragraphs will make up a biography about A
