ABSTRACT

7KH UHVHDFK ³6upply chain involvement components effect on new product development performance of manufacturing companies in Vietnam´ SXUSRVH WRdetermine and measure which components of supply chain involvement effect on new product development performance in manufacturing companies The research was conduct follow steps: Literature review, suggest the research model and hypothesises, develop measues scale, qualitative research, preliminary quantitative research and formal quantitative research Analysed data from 210 samples using SPSS 20 and AMOS 23 shown results bellow:

The result shown that, both of customer involvement and internal involvement positively effect on new product development performance But the hypothesis that supplier involvement effect on new product development performance is not accepted

The result also shown that, there are dgree differences of relationship between customer involvement, internal involvement to new product development performance based on degree of knowledge integration mechanisms in companies

Base on results, this reseach contribute managerial implications, it help the managers practice and improve performance of new product development In detail, companies should allocate appropriate resources to implement internal involvement activities through managerical policy issuance, which help to encourage collaboration between departments in new product development The research suggest that, for achieving better performance of new product development, companies should to involve the customer at stages in the process of new product development The study calls on managers to consider to design knowledge integration mechanisms properly

to acquiring the value of internal involvement and customer involvement purpose of new product development performance improvement

Although achieving certain results, but there are some limitations in this research and future research directions are listed
