ABSTRACT

Outsourcing is a new development trend, it has been applied to many different industries and the construction industry is no exception to that trend Due to the advantages of human resources and costs, Vietnam is a potential outsourcing market of the world This study presents the identification of factors affecting the success of Vietnamese outsourcing companies for foreign partners and analyzes their impact on the success of outsourcing companies A total of 33 factors were identified, reviewed from previous literature studies and in-depth interviews with experienced construction outsourcing experts in Vietnam A survey questionnaire consists of two parts: factors affecting the success of outsourcing companies used a five-point Likert scale and the success of outsourcing companies, which sent to about 250 individuals operating in the construction This yielded 210 valid responses for data analysis Exploratory factor analysis showed that these factors could be categorized into five groupings: control the quality and progress, the stability and flexibility of the company, training and welfare regime of the company, understanding between project participants, unification of design standards The linear structural model (SEM) shows that the quality control factor and work schedule and understanding factor between the project participants have a significant and positive impact on the success of the outsourcing companies These findings have contributed a part of knowledge about the factors affecting the success of outsourcing companies, helping outsourcing companies to achieve more effective projects from which
