1,Deciarative sentences

*Declarative sentences consist of posltive sentence and negative sentences.

Positive sentence

Negative sentences

2, Interrogative sentences

*Interrogative sentences consist of Yes / No questions , WH- questions , alternative questions, and tag questions.

Yes/No questions

Are you tired ? ( A Yes/No question with the verb be )

WH- questions

These questions start with question words such as Who ,What , When ,Which ,Where , How ,Whose

Alternative questions

An alternative question provides tow or more choices,and there choices are connected by the conjunction or.

Tag questions

A tag question is used to reconfirm whether something is right or wrong She was at home ,wasn’t she?

4 Imperative sentences

*An imperative sentence is used to give command , or

simly ,to tell somebody to do something There are direct

imperative sentences and indirect imperative sentences.

A direct imperative sentence starts with a bare infintive It sounds more direct to the listen and may be less polite.

Be patilent

An indirect imperative sentence starts with let+ object + bare + bare

infinltive , it sounds more like a polite request.
