GAP

In the current fierce competition situation, Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company is not only subject to competition from ports near the region Most ports have the same quality of service, shippers increasingly tend to organize the transportation process themselves or through agents, more and more forwarding companies are born, so customers more and more choices Freight forwarding at the warehouse is one of the key activities of the warehousing business Therefore, the cooperation with major ports is an opportunity for Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company to affirm its position themselves, absorbing new software, new techniques, to increasingly lead the Company to develop in a more modern direction, to better serve the needs of customers.

SWOT analysis

S1: As a freight forwarding business that has been operating for 13 years and has a lot of experience in doing business and performing freight forwarding tasks.

S2: The DANALOG floating traffic system with Tien Sa port, Da Nang international airport, national highway 1A, railway station, industrial park are all complete, creating favorable conditions for the transportation of goods by road sea, air, railway.

S3: The quality of the warehouse system is relatively good, including inland warehouses, bonded warehouses, and CFS warehouses that are fully equipped with automatic fire protection systems Surveillance cameras, solid security In addition, the CFS warehouse is also equipped with standard Selective racking systems, plastic pallets, and electric forklifts.

S4: Promote the application of information technology to the management, operation and exploitation of the port by successfully connecting the VASSCM system in 2018, goods through the port monitoring, facilitating, reducing the time and cost of procedures for export and import goods compared to the conventional manual method. S5: Professional logistics staff Implementing the renovation of the management mechanism to be suitable for the process of regional and international integration, DANALOG has gradually innovated the management model towards leanness, perfecting the management structure, boldly provincial reduce labor on the basis of step by step mechanization and modernization.

S6: Promote training and re-training of staff along with opening Logistics courses both domestically and abroad In recruitment, the company always gives priority to attracting young people with high competence, expertise, and skills in working ports.

W1: DANALOG's infrastructure has not yet reached the competition due to its weak infrastructure compared to logistics companies in Vietnam Not really attracting large cargo ships over 50,000 DWT to dock While DANALOG absolutely does not have all the minimum equipment for a port, the warehouse system only includes inland warehouses, bonded warehouses and CFS warehouses, which leads to the limitation of many types of goods, equipment system equipment has been invested but has not yet fully supported port service operations.

W2: Focusing heavily on media forwarding activities and in a narrow scope Due to the small production capacity as well as the market in the central region, the industrial zones are not operating efficiently, so they cannot create a large and stable source of goods to supply the port In addition, the density of seaports so that investment capital is spread out, investment scale is small, lack of piers, wharfs for large ships, especially ports for container ships operating on the long sea route Services lack linkage, the services that companies provide are limited, not commensurate with their potential. W3: The quality of staff working in the logistics field is lacking in quantity and weak in quality Logistics human resources almost accumulate knowledge through daily tasks, especially logistics human resources at university level are still very weak, have no experience as well as in-depth knowledge of the Company's field There has not been much marketing and customer service activities.

O1: The economy is developing with a positive growth rate in 2021, converging enough preconditions for economic development and boosting production and business activities in the new normal Da Nang port also reached more than 7.4 million tons (excluding transit goods not handled at the port) In which, exports reached more than 2 million tons, imports reached more than 1.8 million tons, domestic products reached nearly 3.6 million tons Particularly, container cargo reached more than 404,000 TEUs, giving more than 16.8% compared to last year.

O2: Infrastructure is invested to build and upgrade The transport infrastructure system has been invested and developed rapidly, specifically as the gateway to recruit the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) along with the Tien Sa port project to put into operation synchronously the logistics system serving the seaport , promote high efficiency.

O3: The development of information technology, Da Nang port cooperates with ONE shipping company to successfully deploy EDO delivery order (2021), bringing practical effects to both sides, Da Nang Port also put into use the software new electronic office PortalOffice includes more than 20 functions: Office calendar, news, task management, document files.

T1: The legal and investment environment is still inadequate Commercial and service activities have not been planned and invested large, so they have not created a seaport rear area to increase the volume of goods circulating through the port.

T2: The world economy fell into recession due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, causing the logistics sector to fall into a temporary freeze or even stop working, directly affecting the revenue of enterprises.

T3: In 2022, sea freight rates will increase due to the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine The war has affected the transport network, causing container shipping operations to be delayed, goods congested Therefore, a number of shipping lines have refused to accept transportation from Vietnam to Russia, partially affecting the trade in goods, directly affecting the port's business

Total number of officers and employees of the company (as of March 1, 2023): 166 people.

In particular, the contingent of indirect employees is divided into:

Environment Analysis of the company

2.8.1 Internal environmental factors. a Cultural environment.

DANALOG always creates a friendly and open working culture environment and listens to employees' contributions The company also offers training policies to improve skills and knowledge for its officers and employees such as English language training, etc. b Technical facilities.

If the company has more modern technical facilities, it will create more favourable conditions for business such as: The preservation of goods is better, saving costs in the transportation stage, improving the quality of goods service quantity Facilities also affect the issue of importing more or less goods to the country, if the warehouse is large and safe, it can hold a large amount of imported and exported goods, to reduce costs for many times of transportation If the problem is good preservation, it is possible to import different products…In today's economy with fiercely competitive business environment and increasingly demanding customers because they have many choices for themselves It is said that supply is more than demand, so to attract customers, it is necessary to invest in upgrading services to satisfy maximum customer needs.

For DANALOG Company today, upgrading the warehouse is essential to be able to provide a spacious and airy warehouse to meet the needs of customers Modern facilities will also contribute to improving loading and unloading productivity and increasing revenue and profit for the Company. c Warehouse quality.

In order to ensure that goods are well preserved during storage, it is required that the quality of the warehouse must meet the requirements to ensure that the goods are not to meet the production activities that are seriously overloaded at DANALOG today. With the volume of container goods passing through the warehouse continuously increasing, Containers with goods on the yard account for most of the warehouse's exploitation capacity, the capacity will not be enough to meet the actual demand, especially at times when the goods pass through the port the more, the easier it is to fall into an overload of goods Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality of warehousing services today.

2.8.2 External environmental factors. a Economic and political.

The business activities of DANALOG Port in general and the operation of warehousing for import and export goods at DANALOG are an activity in a broad context including the domestic economy, the world economy, and the international market The object of cooperation is very diverse The expansion of political and diplomatic relations will create favorable conditions and legal premise for business organizations to develop new partners Therefore, once our country joins organizations and participates in bilateral and multilateral agreements with countries around the world, it will greatly affect the business activities of domestic enterprises and Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company The reduction in tax rates also facilitates the development of domestic import-export businesses, which also contributes to promoting business activities in DANALOG For import and export goods that must be stored at the Port or Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company, it will contribute to increasing the revenue of warehousing. b Weather Variations.

The weather greatly affects the delivery and receipt of goods at the warehouse, such as rain and storms, which can cause complete damage to goods in the warehouse or delay the delivery, generating economic consequences for the parties involved mandarin. Each commodity has its own characteristics For example, agricultural products such as cassava chips, flour, tapioca flour, food, rice, fertilizer, etc are perishable goods; quality is easy to change, while machinery and equipment are often bulky; Therefore, it will specify how to pack, load, unload and tie the goods in the right way, suitable for each type of goods to ensure the quality of the goods in the process delivery - loading and unloading goods at the warehouse. c International legal.

This is an important factor, a legal corridor for businesses to operate The legal system is required to be synchronous, consistent and consistent with international practices in order to be able to conduct import operations smoothly Most of the companies that cooperate in doing business are businesses and organizations in the ASEAN region,Asia and the East West economic lane, so the issue of laws and customs does not cause many difficulties for the company., because these countries also have business practices similar to ours But when importing goods from Europe, America, theMiddle East the company must grasp and understand the business laws of these countries.

Review warehouse mining activities in recent years

Container yard (Container Yard - CY) is a place to store, deliver and transport Containers Regarding infrastructure, the survey results show that the logistics infrastructure system is still very lacking, small in scale and not centralized Da Nang city is the locality with the most invested and developed logistics infrastructure and has advantages for container cargo However, this infrastructure system is mainly located within the land area of ports and industrial zones The area for development is very limited, the land rent is high, the density of warehouse construction is large, and the environmental and internal traffic problems need a lot of time to complete.

2.9.4 Evaluation of warehouse operation process at DANALOG.

The delivery and receipt process at the warehouse includes the responsible parts that are closely related to each other, creating a closed process to ensure accuracy and safety in delivery and receipt of goods at the warehouse, and at the same time notify the update report Daily updates help the Company's staff monitor ongoing activities and promptly react or correct errors or customers at risk in the process However, the checking documents, damaging goods, goods and boxes, so it requires high expertise, process knowledge and optional flexibility operation failure.

THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS AND RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Theoretical basis

Weiss's (1967) definition of satisfaction is exhaustive and broad: Job satisfaction is attitudes about work expressed by workers' feelings, beliefs, and behaviors.

Definition of satisfaction with the job components Smith, Kendal and Huilin (1969), Schemerhon (1993), Kreitner and Kinicki (2007) satisfaction with components such as the nature of the job, training and promotion opportunities, leadership, colleagues, salary, job position, compensation, and rewards.

In short, employee job satisfaction is achieved when they feel interested, comfortable, and show a positive response to aspects of their work.

3.1.2 Level of satisfaction. a Level 1 – very dissatisfied.

If the rating is level 1, it means that the employee is "very dissatisfied" with his or her business Usually, when assessed at this level, it means that the business has not met the quality of work as well as the expectations of employees.

The consequences of "very dissatisfied" are often enormous when not only one employee but also many potential employees will often decide to consider this reason for leaving. b Level 2 – dissatisfaction.

The level of "dissatisfaction" Although it is lighter than level 1, it means that you still cannot make employees loyal to your business The cause is the same as above, i.e. poor quality of work, unsatisfactory working environment, salary, allowances and bonuses For Level 2, employees will also not choose to leave the business. c Level 3 – Normal.

"Normal/No Opinion" – this is the average of all employee satisfaction ratings Typically, a rating of 3 means that the employee's work and work experience doesn't feel too bad compared to expectations but also not as good as expected. d Level 4 – quite satisfied.

The level is "Quite satisfied" At the level of satisfaction, it means that the employee has accepted the company's work Although the work has not exceeded expectations, the likelihood that employees will continue to work is very high. e Level 5 – Completely satisfied.

Level 5 is the highest level of satisfaction with employee rating: "Completely satisfied" Employees not only experience the service of the business better than expected, but also have the ability to complete the job in the best way and easily have the opportunity to advance for the business.

3.1.3 Factors affecting warehouse employee satisfaction. a Work and conditions for work performance.

One segment is more about professional operations such as purchasing, import-export, accounting and the other is more about operations such as engineering and production In addition, to ensure the system of the entire Company operates effectively, it is impossible not to mention the support tasks such as administration, service, etc.

Facilities and working atmosphere are factors that significantly affect the work efficiency of employees. b Salary and welfare regime.

Salary situation: The actual salary of the staff includes basic salary, business salary and allowances In particular, the basic salary is fixed and varies according to working seniority and professional level; Business salary fluctuates according to the business coefficient of the enterprises under the Company, the type coefficient of each enterprise and the position coefficient.

Reward situation: Bonuses for employees depend greatly on the company's business performance Individuals and collectives (Departments, Enterprises) with high achievements in work and business results must complete and exceed the planned targets of the Company.

Allowance situation: Allowances fluctuate according to working time, business expenses and other allowances (such as lunch, gasoline, uniform, toxic allowance ). Welfare situation: Comply with state regulations.

The current leave settlement at the Company is limited Da Nang Port Logistics JointStock Company also has its own welfare programs for its employees. c Train.

Internal training: The company organizes a variety of types of training for staff.

External training: Send staff to attend training courses, seminars, trainings, seminars on the outside; Invite lecturers to lecture at the company or at an off-company location.

However, in fact, at the Company, this form of training is still very limited If so, it is only for leaders and managers. d Management methods and promotion condition.

The Organization Department is the department that makes internal policies, operational competence for departments and enterprises in each period based on regulations, circulars and guiding documents of the Company.

Theoretical and practical research models

SERVQUAL is a model that measures the level of employee evaluation based on the most important factor That assessment is generalized based on the gap between employees' expectations of the service and the actual use of the service In the first study by Parasuraman et al (1985), service quality consists of ten constituent factors:

(1) Reliability, (2) Responsiveness, (3) Competence, (4) Accessibility, (5) Style, (6) Communication, (7) Trustworthiness, (8) Safety, (9) Customer understanding, (10) Tangibility.

SERVQUAL continues to be adapted and tested in many different types of services By 1988, Parasuraman et al.'s study narrowed down the components of service quality to include 22 observational variables to measure the 5 components of service quality that are the RATER model: (1) Reliability, (2) Tangibility, (3) Responsiveness, (4) Assurance, (5) Empathy.

In recent years, the study of service quality and the SERVQUAL model has gone into different industries, with researchers focusing on each industry to look at the differences in constituent elements and service quality scales in each industry separately.

Figure 3.4 SERVQUAL model (Parasuraman, Zeithaml & berry,1988)

3.2.2 Studies related to employee satisfaction with work a Research model of Assoc Dr Tran Kim Dung (2005).

Research topic of Assoc Dr Tran Kim Dung has made contributions to adjusting and verifying the JDI scale into Vietnam's conditions The JDI scale is supplemented with two additional components, Company welfare and working conditions, which form the AJDI scale with the required value and reliability This scale has helped organizations in measuring employee satisfaction with their jobs in Vietnam. b Research by Alamdar Hussain Khan & Fellow- worker (2011).

Based on the findings, Alamdar suggested to the Government that all factors such as promotion, working conditions, colleagues and the nature of work have a significant impact on job satisfaction demonstrated in this study From the above results, in order to strengthen employees operating in the field of autonomous medicine organizations, the author proposes to focus on all aspects affecting job satisfaction and not just on any one of these factors. c Spector's research.

The JSS (Job Satisfaction Survey) model of Spector (1997) is developed to apply to businesses in the service sector, including nine elements of satisfaction and attitude, namely: (1) Salary, (2) Promotion opportunities, (3) Working conditions, (4)

Supervision, (5) Colleagues, (6) Love the job, (7) Communicate information, (8) Surprise rewards, (9) Benefits. d Schermerhorn’s research.

For his research, Schermerhorn (1993) identified eight factors that affect employee satisfaction with the job, including: (1) Job position, (2) Supervision, (3) Relationships with colleagues, (4) Job content, (5) Remuneration, (6) Promotion, (7) Material conditions of the working environment, (8) Organizational structure.

Research methods design

In this chapter, I will introduce the process of designing research, building scales, and methods for analyzing statistical data Specifically, there will be a detailed introduction to the research design method with two stages: experimental research by qualitative methods through theoretical overview, helping to better understand concepts and make sense and predictions Use the theoretical overview of discussion and research to edit and supplement observational variables to develop evaluation criteria, adjust questions for the research process to determine the behavior of survey subjects about business processes: import and export warehousing services Formal research using quantitative methods through questionnaires, expressed through numbers and data charts, in order to verify the correctness of theories and previous predictions Internet interview questionnaire surveys to collect satisfaction information, to test and analyze multivariate regression, to test models and research hypotheses.

It is a form of research often used to probe, find out opinions and opinions to find problems In addition, this method can be used to detect future customer trends The data collection methods of qualitative research are quite diverse and often do not have a specific structure to quantitative research Some methods include personal interviews and observations The sample of this method is usually small and more carefully selected Qualitative research often approaches the research subjects in the most natural way, to ensure that the behaviors, opinions and views that the research subjects give will be the most objective and accurate Qualitative research often answers the "how" and "why" questions about a phenomenon or behavior. a In-depth interviews and scale corrections.

PART III MORE QUESTIONS COMMENTS.

Do you have any comments on the Import and Export Warehouse Operation Process at

Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company (DANALOG)?

Quantitative research methods are the collection and analysis of information on the basis of data obtained from the market The purpose of quantitative research is to draw conclusions through the use of statistical methods to process data and figures Quantitative results from a sample group will be generalized to a larger sample population The method for collecting quantitative data is often more structured than qualitative data collection which includes various forms of surveys such as online surveys, paper surveys, mobile surveys, mail or email survey Quantitative research is often associated with relying on theories, inferences to quantify, measure research factors, examine correlations between variables in the form of measurements and statistics. a Sampling technique.

The survey subject is an employee of Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company using warehousing services, specifically CFS warehouse.

I based my research on the formula of Hair, Anderson, Tatham and Black (1998) to produce the questionnaire:

In Where: n: The sample size to be determined. m: Number of questions.

Based on the formula, I determined the sample size to be:

From the above results, the number of survey samples required by the research topic I had to go to the experimental survey was about 110 votes However, to ensure that the number of samples collected may be misqualified, incomplete or incomplete in criteria can be excluded from the test run, I conducted a minimum of 110 votes and a maximum of 150 votes. b Research process.

Theoretical and practical research model Research goals

Draft scale design Proposed model

Data analysis methodology

Descriptive statistics is a technique that helps researchers give a general description of the characteristics of the studied sample and the resulting survey results For example, how many men and how many women the sample had; how many employees belong to the CFS warehouse department, how many employees belong to the container yard department, how many employees belong to the customer service center, how many employees belong to other departments; average score on question A is falling on Likert 1-5.

In quantitative research, measuring large factors will be very difficult and complicated, it is not possible to use only simple scales (using only 1 question through close measurement) but also using more detailed scales (using many observational questions to measure factors) to understand the properties of large factors.

Therefore, when making research questionnaires, we often create the observed variables x1, x2, x3, x4, x5 is a sub variable of factor A so that instead of measuring a whole factor A that is relatively abstract and difficult to give accurate results, we go to measure the small observed variables inside and then infer the properties of the factors.

Cronbach's Alpha scale reliability verification is the tool we need This tool will help check whether the observed variables of the parent factor (factor A) are reliable, which

Verification and elimination of variables

Solutions and recommendations the same factor It indicates which of the observed variables of a factor contributed to the measurement of the factor concept, which did not The Cronbach Alpha result of the good factor shows that the observed variables we listed are very good, demonstrating the characteristics of the parent factor, we have a good scale for this parent factor.

 Measure reliability using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient.

Cronbach (1951) gives a confidence factor for the scale Note, Cronbach's Alpha coefficient only measures the reliability of the scale (including 3 or more observed variables), not the reliability of each observed variable.

Cronbach's Alpha coefficient has a variable value in the paragraph [0,1] In theory, the higher this coefficient, the better (the more reliable the scale) However, this is not entirely accurate Cronbach's Alpha coefficient is too large (about 0.95 or higher) to indicate that there are many variables in the scale that do not differ from each other, this phenomenon is called duplication in the scale.

Standards in Cronbach's Alpha scale reliability testing.

If a measurement variable has a total correlation coefficient of Corrected Item – Total Correlation ≥ 0.4, then that variable is satisfactory.

 From 0.8 to almost equal to 1: the scale measures very well.

 From 0.7 to close to 0.8: the scale measures good use.

We also need to pay attention to the value of Cronbach's Alpha if Item Deleted column, which represents Cronbach's Alpha coefficient if the variable type under consideration Although this is not a common standard for evaluating scale reliability, if Cronbach's Alpha if Item Deleted value is greater than my Cronbach Alpha coefficient then we should consider looking at this observed variable on a case-by-case basis.

Two important values considered in this section are convergent values and distinguishing values:

• Value: Variables observed with the same property converge to the same factor, when represented in a rotation matrix, these variables will be in the same column Convergence together.

• Differentiating value: The observed variables converge on one factor and must be distinguished from the observed variables that converge in another When represented in a rotation matrix, each group of variables will separate into separate columns.

Exploratory factor analysis, or EFA for short, is used to reduce a set k that turns observations into a set F (with F < k) more significant factor In research, we usually collect a fairly large number of variables and many of the observed variables are correlated Instead of going to study 20 small traits of an object, we can study only 4 large traits, in each of these large traits are 5 small characteristics that are correlated with each other This saves more time and money for researchers.

With the Cronbach Alpha scale reliability test, we are evaluating the relationship between variables in the same group, the same factor, rather than considering the relationship between all variables observed in other factors Meanwhile, EFA looks at the relationships between variables in all different groups (factors) in order to detect those observed variables that upload multiple factors or the observed variables that are misassigned from the beginning.

KMO coefficient (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) is an indicator used to consider the appropriateness of factor analysis A KMO value of 0.5 or higher (0.5 ≤ KMO < 1) is a sufficient condition for factor analysis to be appropriate If this value is less than 0.5, then factor analysis is likely not appropriate for the study dataset.

Bartlett's test of sphericity is used to see if the observed variables in a factor are correlated It should be noted that the necessary condition for applying factor analysis is that observed variables reflecting different aspects of the same factor must be correlated This point relates to the convergence value in the EFA analysis mentioned above Therefore, if the test shows no statistical significance, factor analysis should not be applied to the variables under consideration The Bartlett test is statistically significant (sig Bartlett's Test < 0.05), demonstrating that observed variables are correlated with each other in the factor.

Eigenvalue is a commonly used criterion for determining the number of factors in EFA analysis With this criterion, only factors with Eigenvalue ≥ 1 will be retained in the analysis model.

Total Variance Extended ≥ 50% indicates that the EFA model is appropriate Considering the variation as 100%, this value shows how much of the factors are extracted and how much of the observed variables are lost.

Factor Loading, also known as factor weighting, this value denotes the correlation relationship between the observed variable and the factor The higher the factor load factor, that is, the greater the correlation between that observed variable and the factor, and vice versa According to Hair & ctg (2009,116), Multivariate Data Analysis, 7th Edition:

• Factor Loading at ± 0.3: The minimum condition for the observed variable to be retained.

• Factor Loading at ± 0.5: The observed variable is statistically significant.

• Factor Loading at ± 0.7: The observed variable is statistically significant very well. However, the standard value of the "Factor Loading" factor should be considered the same sample size For different sample size intervals, the factor weighting to make the observation statistically significant is completely different.

** Correlation is significant at the 0.01 level (2-tailed).

** Correlation is significant at the 0.05 level (2-tailed).

The symbol ** indicates that this pair of variables has a 99% confidence linear correlation (1% significance = 0.01).

The sig value of the dependent variable SA is less than 0.05 meaning that the independent variable is linearly correlated with the dependent variable, the sig value of the variable SA is greater than 0.05 meaning that the independent variable is NOT correlated with the dependent variable As a result, the sig value of the SA variable is correlated with the dependent variable.

The sig value of 5 independent variables RI, QS, SC, RN, TM represents the correlation between the independent variables with each other If the sig is less than0.05, start paying attention to the Pearson correlation coefficient to see if there is a strong or weak correlation between the independent variables If the sig < 0.05 and thePearson correlation value is greater than 0.7, we will pay attention to the possibility of linear multi-addition.

The variable SC has a test sig value of 0.31 greater than 0.05, so this variable has no significance in the regression model, in other words, it has no effect on the SA- dependent variable The other variables RI, QS, RN, TM have a test sig of 0.00 less than 0.05, so these variables are all statistically significant, all acting on the SA- dependent variable.

The VIF variance magnification coefficient is all less than 10, in this case even 5 variables have a factor less than 2 = > The data does not have linear multi-addition.

This chapter presents the results of the sample in the form of statistical descriptions, results on the reliability of scales through Cronbach's Alpha reliability assessment, and discovery factor analysis (EFA) Then test the suitability of the research model with the hypotheses that have been proposed The results of regression model analysis show that there are 5 factors affecting employee satisfaction in warehousing activities that affect import and export at Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company(DANALOG): (1) Responsiveness, (2) Tangibles, (3) Quality Services, (4) Service capacity, (5) Reliability.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Conclusion

To constantly develop, keep up with the progress of the domestic and foreign logistics industry DANALOG Company always tries to make development policies, organization, efforts to promote business activities, provide quality products and services, so there have been significant developments in the logistics service business. Through the study on employee satisfaction in warehousing activities affecting import and export at Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company (DANALOG), I synthesized, presented and solved the problems posed by the research paper to help the company have a better overview of warehouse operations This, may positively change the company's import and export activities in the near future, the current labor shortage will make the warehouse look for ways to increase productivity, use simple, easy-to- train automation tools and change the nature of work to attract new workers Apply the latest technologies to warehouses, grasp the latest advances in science and technology to limit potential risks that may occur When employees are satisfied with their jobs, they are more likely to be motivated to do their best work, which positively impacts import-export operations.

Recommendation Employee satisfaction hypothesis in warehousing operations

After researching, verifying and evaluating the main factors of employee satisfaction about the operation process of import and export warehouses at Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company such as reliability, service quality, service capacity, responsiveness, through chapter 5, I synthesized, presented and solved the problems posed by the research paper to attract customers to warehouse services at Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company. a Reliability.

Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company applies quality adjustment according toISO 9001: 2000 Along with quality assurance, the company needs to resolve quickly when there is a problem Providing full service of the company, when the service is performed the company will notify the customer to provide, delivery order and other relevant documents. b Service quality.

Improve Service Quality to ensure that every customer can receive support and advice easily and quickly Service goes hand in hand with satisfaction, to do so, the company must create good conditions for customers in the delivery process, especially the quality of delivery services Besides, a worker can take care of the job at the same time, the container arrives late at night, the worker has to work overtime, so the productivity is not high, so the company needs to make a lot of investment to improve service quality. c Service Capacity.

The warehouse area in the company still ensures the circulation However, most of the container cargo volume, CFS warehouse area, container yard is still limited, making the storage of goods into the warehouse and storage of container items on the peak occasion of Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company must be sent to the yard of the affiliated company, Da Nang Logistics Joint Stock Company. d Responsiveness.

DANALOG needs to continue to improve the operation process of import and export warehouses, loading time, container lifting time Employees must understand and listen to customer opinions to better serve customers e Tangible.

Facilities are very important, it shows the prestige of the Port Company, employees and customers have relied on the prestige and protective equipment that the company provides to put their trust in it To do so, the company needs to invest in warehouses, equipment and machinery for the delivery process In particular, the company needs to invest in workspace to encourage employee morale, which increases productivity as well as employee efficiency

For businesses, human resources are the inclusion of both physical strength, intellect, skills, management capacity level, job proficiency level Any business considers people to be the most important resource Therefore, in order to create employee satisfaction, the Company needs to pay attention to a number of factors that can affect employee satisfaction in the warehouse, including:

 Compensation and benefits: Based on the performance of employees, the Company has a reward policy for collectives or individuals with achievements or initiatives in production and business activities Adopt policies to reward achievements based on the level of fulfillment of targets, health care and tourism policies Take care of the spiritual life of employees and improve labor productivity However, the company also has bonus policies that are fair to the level of contribution of each individual.

 Work-life balance: Employees need to be able to balance work and personal life Don't let privacy affect your work progress Employees need to know how to organize work and time, many workers work day and night even when they come home Therefore, employees need to quickly balance life and work, they can burn out, causing both physical and mental damage Worse, work efficiency decreases, losing credibility in the company.

 Job security: For jobs such as loading and unloading, forwarding goods by container or outdoor jobs, the company needs to ensure safety in labor, safety in transporting goods, full protective equipment, then employees want to feel secure in their work Employees must also be flexible in troubleshooting possible problems to ensure personal and business safety.

 Training and development: Employees who want opportunities to learn and develop need to solve and overcome current problems and prepare for future change through improving the quality of their workforce Human resources are the backbone of the business, if personnel are durable, the business will be stable The human resource development process aims to equip employees with the necessary competencies to keep pace with the development of the business. When employees receive job training and career development, they will have opportunities for advancement in the future Strengthen the training and promotion of human resources by sending officials and employees to port units to exchange professional knowledge, learn experience and professional skills.

 Management: Employees want to be treated fairly and have a good relationship with their manager Managers should not let emotions overwhelm reason when working or evaluating subordinates' competence, because once employees see adversely affecting the overall work Always listen and acknowledge the feedback of employees to know what problems they are having, what you need to change for the better Managers need to understand the causes of subordinates' mistakes in each specific situation to have the most appropriate handling In addition, a psychological, understanding boss who knows how to put himself in the position of an employee to have appropriate behavior and management will help you lead the team more successfully.

When these factors are in place, employees are more likely to be satisfied with their jobs and this can lead to a number of benefits for the warehouse, including:

 Improved productivity: Employees who want to get things done must set time limits for themselves and set rules for getting things done Prepare a to-do list, a well-organized to-do list that will make it easy to keep track of all your work. When employees are satisfied, they are more likely to be productive and complete work on time.

 Reduced errors: The company builds quality standards according to ISO 9001:

2000 for each workflow, applies many software to avoid errors and increase work efficiency When work goes smoothly, satisfied employees are more likely to be careful and make fewer mistakes.

 Better customer service: Customer service plays a decisive role in the success of the business, good customer care makes them feel satisfied, meets their expectations When employees are satisfied with their jobs, they are more likely to be friendly and helpful to customers Employees listen to customers' opinions and serve customers better Ensuring that customers have a positive experience is critical to customer retention, and employee engagement has a profound effect on customer retention.

 Increased profits: When the warehouse operates more efficiently and productively, providing a full range of services that the warehouse brings such as Customs services, warehousing services, warehousing Making the most of warehouse operations, increasing the reliability of their warehouses can generate more profits.

Research data collection

Primary data is collected through the method of surveying members of the warehousing department during the internship.

Discussion questions often revolve around, CFS warehouse, General Depot, Bonded warehouse, Container Depot, inventory issues, customs services, etc In addition, through interviews, I can gather information about the company's customers, suppliers, and its business The business situation will mainly affect the company's business results The warehousing department accounts for about 70% of revenue and other operations Because data is confidential, it is recommended to analyze revenue results, from which it is possible to shape the warehouse operation situation of Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company.

Data collection whereby the researcher collects the information necessary to answer the research problem In this topic, data is mainly collected from annual financial statements in the accounting department: Balance sheet, Income statement, Statement of cash flows from 2020 to 2022 In addition, the thesis contains references to secondary data that have been published on the Internet, books, newspapers, journals for more information during the analysis.

5.3.2 Business results of the Company.

Evaluating the business results of the enterprise will help managers have a comprehensive view of whether the company's financial position is good or not From there, research and come up with plans to improve Warehousing results greatly affect the company's business Below are the business results of Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company over three years 2019, 2020, 2021.

Table 5.33 Business situation of DANALOG 2020 -2022

Year Net sales Profit after tax Cost of sales

(Source: Administration and Human Resources Department of DANALOG)

Net sales in 2021 were 217,879,473,134, up 87 102,701,670 compared to 20 20 In

2022, it is VND 189,851,084,318, down VND 28,028,388,820 compared to 2021 It is easy to see that the company's net revenue gradually increased over the years from

2020 to 2022, showing that DANALOG's production and business activities still maintained a stable growth

In particular, in 2022 decreased by 14.76% compared to 2021, in 2021 the company's net revenue increased significantly by 66% compared to 2020 Although the period of

2020 - 2021 is an extremely difficult time for all businesses due to the impact of the covid epidemic, DANALOG company still has stable business results and significant growth.

In 2022, production activities faced many difficulties The markets for consumingVietnamese goods (the US and the European Union) are continuously shrinking due to the impact of inflation, the crisis confrontation in the Russia-Ukraine war causing import and export goods to decrease sharply, which has negatively impacted the operation of the Port This result shows the efforts of all employees as well as the company in promoting business activities, providing products and services. b Cost analysis.

Table 5.35 Cost of goods sold

(Source: Administration and Human Resources Department of DANALOG)

Diagram 5.11 Cost of goods sold

Cost of goods sold tends with net sales increasing gradually over the years from 2020-

2022 In 2022, the cost of goods sold will decrease by VND 22,735,373,510 compared to 2021, in 2021 it will increase by VND 84,379,618,716 compared to 2020 This is an inevitable consequence of the increase in the number of goods and services consumed The sharp increase in cost of goods sold over the years shows that the direct costs arising from the production activities of enterprises increase This is understandable for the period of 2020-2021 due to the impact of the Covid 19 epidemic, in 2022 the Russia-Ukraine war, leading to changes in financial markets, production and supply disruption due to social distancing,

The company's financing costs increase gradually over the years, but interest expense is the opposite Interest expense is relatively small, plus there is a slight decrease, so it does not seriously affect the financial position of the company. c Profit analysis.

(Source: Administration and Human Resources Department of DANALOG)

Profit is always an important goal of a company Looking at the data over the years, the company's profit gradually decreased from 2020-2022, specifically, the company's profit after tax in 2021 was VND 9,294,659,568, down VND 225,111,893, equivalent to 2.36% The company's profit after tax in 2022 is VND 5,576,673,798, down VND3,717,985,770 equivalent to 66.67% Although the company's revenue experienced significant growth from 2021-2022, its profit after tax declined over the years This result shows that the company's cost management is not really effective in the unstable economic situation due to the impact of the covid epidemic and the political situation when Russia and Ukraine have a conflict affecting the global economy.

Some measures to improve the quality of warehousing services at DA

With the current warehouse area, it is possible to meet enough for the storage process for retail goods transported by Container However, in order for the warehouse to operate effectively, the container exploitation and management department, CFS warehouse staff must arrange a reasonable warehouse arrangement.

Close coordination between departments in the working process is essential, which means that shippers wishing to perform services at the Company will save a lot of time and solve arising problems quickly, accurately and professionally.

If the operation at the warehouse takes place quickly and smoothly, it will facilitate other business activities of the Company to take place as planned Therefore, the company needs to overcome the following disadvantages:

Organize the division of goods in the warehouse by each shipment by shipper; destination; classification by each invoice; commodity code; according to each position of import and export goods.

Currently, warehouse coordination activities are directly directed by warehouse managers, so they cannot be observed and managed comprehensively, so a more modern and professional management system is needed Like a software that enters data directly into a computer instead of statistics in Excel as today.

With large operating capacity, goods are delivered at the warehouse continuously, and at the same time on one container there can be many different owners, so the delivery at the warehouse needs to be really accurate and reliable It is necessary to have meticulous observation, warehouse staff must be very careful, so mistakes are inevitable To solve this problem, the company needs to invest in installing camera systems in important areas so that warehouse managers can comprehensively observe the activities taking place at the warehouse, and at the same time easily coordinate warehouse operation.

5.5.2 Invest in more equipment for the mining process.

Currently, the packing and loading and unloading of goods at the warehouse are done by rudimentary machinery, the packaging is done manually, the delivery of goods to warehouse has not been optimized, so the application of new technology in warehouse exploitation to increase accuracy in the working process as well as increasing productivity and work efficiency is essential Thereby, the company needs to overcome the following points:

Forklift: Long-term use greatly affects the handling of packages in the warehouse It is necessary to invest in newer, more modern, larger-capacity electric forklifts to meet customer needs, and at the same time use electric vehicles contribute to environmental protection.

Invest in more cooling equipment, explosion prevention tools for workers and goods in warehouses Invest in shelves for department stores and fabrics, which will be arranged overhead to save space and take advantage of the area below for bulky equipment and goods The shelf design will help find the location of goods more quickly and conveniently At the same time, creating a cool environment to help preserve goods better, shippers will feel more secure when storing goods at the warehouse.
