the firm in the three years from 2020 to 2022 allow us to clearly see the development of the company on an annual basis through the company's business results.  Through the table of production and business results of the company from 2020 to 2022, It indicates that the company's business activities have continuously grown and developed Profit after tax has grown from 2020 to 2022, with the company's profit after tax in 2021 being 999.846.059, an increase of VND 91.058.883 over 2020 Profit after tax in 2022 is 1.243.861.377 VND, up 244.015.318 VND from 2021.    1.2 Information about the internship department During my internship at PTI Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company, I was assigned to the Business Department with the position of the sales staff The Business department is a key part of the enterprise This is the connection center between other departments such as: Marketing, Sales, For the common purpose of planning to develop sales and profits for the company In general, the main roles that the sales department of the company must undertake are as follows:  The Business Department is a department with the function of Advising, giving opinions and suggestions to the Board of Directors of the company on issues related to the organization of events, conferences, seminars, exhibitions or advertising activities, brand consulting and building an image for the partner company in the most effective way  In charge of directing the process of researching and developing event services to best suit the needs of customers, expanding the market to use the company's services  Deploying the task of building and developing a network of potential customers, compiling reports according to the given regulations In order for the company to grow, the sales department needs to have a plan to develop new potential customers for the business Maintaining and developing good relationships with existing customers  Collect and manage customer profile information to serve the work of customer rating assessment, appraisal and re-appraisal of customer records  Periodically, the sales department needs to make reports in accordance with the regulations of the enterprise The report need to show all the business activities of the company as well as the duties and powers assigned to the sales department  Plan and organize business activities, calculate cost reports to create contracts with customers  Provide information and perform translation and document translation for the work of the company's management  Monitor and accelerate the implementation of business strategies by departments in the company to ensure the correct progress and quality according to the contract that customers require  Contribute ideas on marketing strategies, as well as CHAPTER 2: INTRODUCTION OF THE INTERNSHIP PROCESS AT THE COMPANY 2.1 Tasks performed during the internship During my internship at PTI Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company, I was appointed as a sales staff of the Company I had a good experience there and I thought about what I needed to learn and to improve my skills in a working environment I started the above-mentioned job on January 2nd, 2023, and I just finished a four-week general internship at PTI Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company I worked specifically in the morning from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and afternoon from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm daily from Monday through Saturday with a weekly day off on Sunday The company's sales staff is responsible for finding potential customers, then introducing, consulting and convincing customers to use the company's services The service of the company that I am referring to is organizing events, conferences, seminars, etc In addition, I also take care of customers who have been using the company's services Every day, the Company has a lot of work to perform, due to the nature of each job there are many different stages, each of which includes different work sequences Therefore, I was only assigned a few simple tasks that could help me approach the actual work while not affecting or disrupting the main working processes, affecting progress and productivity other work of the Business Department I also picked up a lot of new knowledge during my internship and took part in the company's skill-building courses With the enthusiastic support of my supervisor, I received training on how to work, how to interact with others at the company I'm grateful After four weeks of internship, I am certain that I have learned new knowledge and experiencs that have greatly improved me Below is a weekly assignment table with specific tasks: No Activities - Contacting the company and beginning participation in the internship program at PTI Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company - Establishing an activity schedule with the supervisor for the duration Week of the internship - Acquiring knowledge of the company's policies, culture, departments, tasks and services - Acquire expertise and information about the sales field - Participating in the company's teamwork improvement activities Week - I'm getting instructions on how to my job - Researching market, customer and starting getting to know customers on online platforms - Taking in the Business Department weekly meeting Week - Being trained in professional consulting, negotiation,etc - Contacting , answering customers' questions through social platforms such as facebook, email, zalo - Taking part in internal training workshops about business skills: Week communicating, negotiating, solving problems, etc - Meeting directly that my business provides such as the process of organizing events, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, etc To be able to advise and give reasonable solutions to customers  Step 2: Researching market I need to pay attention and research about market fluctuations to understand the needs of customers and businesses, then design and decorate events and seminars professionally and in accordance with the needs of customers needs of customers and businesses  Step 3: Search for customers, give a list of individuals and organizations who are in need of organizing events, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, etc My target customers are businesses and companies represented by foreigners, importexport companies, etc In order to increase the ability to use English during practice  Step 4: Communicate with customers Contact with customers in any form such as face-to-face meetings, contact via email, phone numbers, etc To discuss the company's event organization services, research customers' needs  Step 5: Sale After I have contacted the customer, I need to quote, negotiate and answer questions about related issues when the customer wants to use the company's services 2.2 Challenges and Lessons during the internship process 2.2.1 Challenges I firmly believe that after receiving the necessary professional training, I will be able to fulfill the assigned positions throughout my studies However, the fierce realistic working environment made me confused At that point, I realized that I still had a lot of problems to solve and that I needed to keep working to become better Here are some of the difficulties I encountered as a sales intern First and foremost, I feel my ability to communicate and negotiate is not good Soft skills are one of the must-have skills when working as a salesperson Because of the nature of the job, I often have to go to meet partners to consult and negotiate on the organization of events, conferences, seminars, etc I had to regularly practice and hone my soft skills, but I only improved a little I think it takes a long practice to improve completely Second, I have a lot of work to every day and must catch up to my KPI I occasionally work under a lot of strain and have to stay late to finish my work because of my lack of knowledge But I learnedt new things and grew in my experience 2.2.1 Lessons  Lessons learned to improve task's performance - In my opinion, sales profession will never be outdated and sales staff are unlikely to be unemployed To be successful in this job, it is important for every student to learn from reality - For my point of view, after graduation, students should apply to small companies to gain experience in general, from here they will learn soft skills in dealing with customers and grasping market needs After that, I will try to apply to bigger companies, which will be more likely to succeed in the future - Withstand work pressure: every day sales staff have to deal with customers and sometimes I also have to face rejections or unfriendly attitudes of customers In addition, sales pressure also requires me not to be easily discouraged and give up  Lessons learned about skills - Listen, learn and respond: Always listen to share and contribute ideas It is reasonable and right to inquire and learn When you feel dissatisfied, you can give feedback, but pay attention to the wrong attitude - Able to work independently: Working at the company helps me learn to be able to work independently, no one can support me in the assigned work - Time management skills: To ensure that I have enough time and health to meet the internship, I have trained myself to acquire good time management skills - Ability to work in a team: I always have to work closely with colleagues in the same department or related departments to quickly solve customer problems - Communication skills: after my internship and training at the company, my communication skills are much better than before Currently, I no longer feel shy when I go to meet customers to discuss the issue of organizing events, conferences, etc - Negotiation skills: After meeting customers and signing contracts many times, I have gradually learned negotiation skills The art of negotiation is a perfect combination of sharp thinking, quick behavior, and must be patient to argue, control emotions, and have reasons to skillfully persuade customers, bring pleasant feeling to customers.This increases the likelihood of customers using the company's services  Lesson learned about attitude - Confidence: Confidence is the key to my personal business that I have cultivated during my internship here Confidence is an opportunity to make a mark 10 with your customers A stammer, timid person certainly does not leave a good impression in the eyes of the opposite person I have self-study and self-confidence to create the best impression with customers - Gentle, friendly, caring, willing to listen to everyone's opinions in the company, so that the work will be more convenient and smooth - During the internship, I not only had the opportunity to interact with real work, but also learned how to socialize in the office culture So I'm very happy when someone asks me to odd jobs such as making tea, coffee, photocopying, writing All of these forged me a perseverance and adaptability to the work 11 CHAPTER 3: THE CIRCUMSTANCE OF USING ENGLISH AT THE INTERNSHIP COMPANY 3.1 Describe the current situation of using English at the internship unit PTI Group Joint Stock Company is a company that advertises, communicates and organizes events, seminars and conferences The company's target customers not only target domestic customers but also expand internationally In general, the company has a dynamic working environment, almost everyone knows how to use English This is a great opportunity for English majors to put what I've learned into practice and help me improve my ability to so The company frequently communicates with foreign clients at work, necessitating cooperation and understanding of their wishes Therefore, English is an essential tool for reaching a mutually beneficial agreement Employees are frequently tasked with writing brief emails regarding business communication such as inquiry letters, order confirmation letters, customer requests, and so on In the company, people communicate in many ways to discuss and support each other in work Company colleagues often communicate via text messages, emails, meetings, and other means to ensure that no important information is left out Almost all emails are required to be written in English to improve the level of employees in the company However, the use of English still has some limitations First, not every department in the company can speak English fluently For example, the accounting department: use English at a basic level such as reading and writing English I think because of the specificity of the job, the use of English in this department is also more limited than in other departments Maybe they mainly deal with paperwork in Vietnamese, with a few exceptions they need to use English In contrast to the accounting department, the business department where I am interning requires English at a good level or higher As you know, the above specific job of the Business department is to communicate with customers on any online platform or meet face-to-face to discuss work Therefore, if all employees of this department not know English, they will not be able to interact and connect 12 with foreign guests In addition, the company's directors also know English fluently so that they can manage the entire company and solve big problems from customers Secondly, most of the company's employees encounter the situation of using incorrect English grammar and structure With the sales department, the use of English is often through communication, so most staff not pay too much attention to English grammar and structure in the process of communicating with customers With the accounting department, their work is often associated with paperwork in Vietnamese, so it is not too demanding to use English for this department However, most of the internal emails for job assignment in the company are in English, so they often use support tools such as google translate, TFlat to respond to work emails, which is difficult to avoid errors in English grammar 3.2 Proposing solutions to improve English ability During my internship, I observed that PTI Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company had difficulties in using English at work as described above In my opinion, here are some suggestions to help your business grow and develop further:  For the company: + Create an environment to practice English I think the company should have regulations such as during working hours, the company's employees will communicate in English During lunch break, Vietnamese can be used This promotes a multilingual atmosphere as well as facilitates employees to improve their English skills + Required standard English input Using this method, the company can control the quality of qualified employees from the beginning of the recruitment process Appropriate recruitment requirements are necessary for important positions that require good skills Candidates' English proficiency could be tested during an interview or through quick tests + Organize English learning for the whole business: The fact that enterprises organize for all employees to learn foreign languages together is to create a 13 competitive environment and an internal learning atmosphere This compensation scheme not only encourages employees to improve their English It also shows the determination of the whole team to change The company should have English training sessions for employees once a week, to be able to detect the level of English use of employees This helps the employees's English ability to improve  For employees: + Improve writing skills to improve grammatical structure For example, a company needs to respond to a lot of customer emails This makes writing an essential ingredient for many jobs Customer feedback emails require clear, concise and effective messages, so Employees should practice daily, improve their vocabulary, constantly learn from other members of the company + Communicate in English more with colleagues Employees should make a habit of communicating at all times at the company Communicate more with colleagues This greatly improves communication skills 14 CHAPTER 4: PROPOSAL OF THE GRADUATION THESIS TOPIC "Difficulty in communication of commerce university students during internship" Students are the most absorbing and changing generation of any era In language learning, these young people know how to refresh and hone their abilities However, in a country where English is not the national language like Vietnam, difficulties in learning foreign languages are inevitable Business college students are no exception For that reason, I would like to propose a research topic for my graduation thesis: "Difficulty in communication process of students of commerce university during internship" I sincerely hope that you will consider and help me in the process of researching this thesis 15
