Week 20 Period 58 Date of preparing: 09/01/2022 Date of teaching: 10/01/2022 UNIT 7: TELIVISION Lesson 5: SKILLS A OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students can: - Read a TV guide and descriptions of famous programmes for specific information; ask and talk about a suitable TV programme for a person - Develop and practice reading and speaking skills Knowledge 1.1 Vocabulary: (to) compete, (to) join, a pet, science, wildlife, a dolphin, (be) interested in 1.2 Grammar: The present simple, Wh- questions Competences - Autonomy and self study, communication and collaboration, problem solving and creativity - Reading comprehension for general and specific information about favourite sports stars and talk about famous sport people they like - To improve groupwork, independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence Quality - Students have serious learning attitude, love learning English, energetically and actively participate in learning activities - Listen for specific information from a recommended TV schedule and write a short guided passage about one’s TV-watching habits – Develop and practice listening and writing skills Knowledge 1.1 Vocabulary: Review words related to TV programmes 1.2 Grammar: Wh- questions, conjunctions Competences + Work individually, in pairs and in groups + Develop linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative + Practise well skills: L, S, R, W + Use the lexical items related to TV programmes Quality - Do you like playing sport? Which sports you like to play?
