Teacher: Trần Thanh Minh Week: 23 Planning date: 24/2/2023 Period: LESSON PLAN TIẾNG ANH FRIENDS PLUS UNIT 7: GROWING UP - LESSON 2: READING (Pre-While-Post) CHILDHOOD PHOTOS I AIMS: Language contents: - Vocabulary: revision Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, my students will be able to understand the general idea of the text Skills: - Main skills : reading and writing skills - Sub skills : listening and speaking skills Attitude: Competences: - know how to answer specific questions about the text - use vocabulary items related to the photos of life - talk about your childhood II TEACHER’S AND STUDENTS’ PREPARATIONS: Teacher: pictures, textbooks, powerpoint slides, projector, laptop, mouse,… Students: textbook, notebook III TECHNIQUES: Grammar Translation Method, Communicative approach, group Ss and T’s activities, teaching methods with games, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, discussion group, technical present… IV PROCEDURES: TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES CONTENTS ACTIVITY 1: WARM-UP (5’)  Aims: Arouse students’ interest review some vocabulary in the previous lesson, and lead to the topic of today’ lesson Contents: Students work in groups  Products: Students’ answers  Organization: - Introduce the instruction of the game to the student - Divide students into groups - Ask students to play the game - Check students’ answers - Announce the winner GAME: A or B - Listen to the instructions carefully - Form groups - Play the game in groups - Check the answers with the teacher - There will be a picture of a person and two possible answers A and B - If you think the answer is A, you should make a heart - If you think the answer is B, you should raise your hands - If all the members of the group have the correct answer, the group will receive point - The group having the most point will be the winner ACTIVITY : KNOWLEDGE - FORMATION (17’) Aims: Teacher helps the student to revise some verb and their form in the past tense and understand the context and general idea of the text Contents: Students listen and repeat new words individual/pairs/groups Products: Students can revise some verbs and their forms in the past tense and understand the context and general idea of the text Organization: Pre-reading Set context: - THINK - Read the questions with the class and ask for their answer - Teacher goes around the class and helps them Question: Work in groups and talk about the question based on their background " Did you look very different five years ago?
