UNIT 15: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE IN THE FUTURE? Lesson 1(4,5,6) Date of planning: 24/02/2019 Date of teaching :5A-25/2,5B,5C26/2/2019 I Objectives After the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Using the words and phrases related to the topic : Future plans - Ask and answer about one’s future jobs II Language focus - The vocabulary: - The structure: - What’s would you like to be in the future? - I’d like to be a/ an III Teaching aids Books, teachers’ book, notebooks, cards and cassette IV Procedures Teacher’s activities Students’ activities A Class organization Good morning/ afternoon! Who is absent today? Good morning/ afternoon! B Warm up Spend a few minutes revising What would you like to be in the future? And i’d like to be a/ an by getting two pairsto act out - Do actions the exchange in front of the class C New lesson Listen and tick - Tell Students that they are going to listen - Listen to the recording the first time to the recording and tick the correct pictures - Play the recording for Students to listen - Listen again and complete - Give the answers - Ask Students to listen again and the task - Ask Students to give answers - Play the recording again for Students to - Others correct, remark - Ss repeat the recording listen and check - Work in pairs - Give correct answers - Do the task 1.b A C - Give answers Look and write - Tell the class that they are going to answer questions about future jobs - Open their Student’s book - Give Students a few times to read the sentences - Listen to the T's instruction - Set a time limit for Students to the task in pair - Monitor the activity and offer help,if necessary - Ask Students to give answers - Listen - Ask other Students to give feedback - Correct: like to be a teacher like to be a doctor like to be architects Let’s sing - Ask Ss to open their Student’s book on page 31 Stick the large- sized sheet of paper with the sing on page 31 on the board Tell them that they are going to sing the What would you like to be in the future song - Play the recording all the way through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and - Listen and repeat - Listen and repeat once more - Sing and clap the hands at rhythms - Sing the song the intonation of the song - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat - Play the recording once more for Ss to repeat the whole song - Call on some Ss to sing the song in front of the class The rest of the class clap their hands at rhythms D Consolidation - Have Ss practise singing the song at - Listen and remember home =   = ... few minutes revising What would you like to be in the future?
