The First Round (CV selection): I have never had experience in writing an CV Therefore, it took me about one week to read many article as well as social media post to learn how to write an CV To write a good CV to beat other potential candidates is much more difficult than I thought because there are a lot of skills that I have never known before After one struggling week, finally I had an CV for myselft and passed the CV round - The second round (phone call): It surpriesed me a lot when they check all my information and interview me right after day by a phone call It was much different from other recruitment processes that I met I didn’t have any preparation, but had to answer all the questions that the HR department asked Luckily, I passed this round by the actual experience that I had - The third and fourth round was English Speaking and English Writing test because when I work as a Sales intern I had to talk or write completely in English By using all knowledge I acquired when learning in English Falcuty in Thuong Mai University, I have been appreciated - The last was the direct interview round conducting a haft by English and the other by Vietnamese to check my specialized skills After five rounds, I successfully passed and became a Sales interns I was really happy and satisfied with the result I receive after my great effort The second difficult that I met was the less experience in Sales B2B Inspite of two years experience in Sales B2C, it was not enough for me to be good at Sales B2B This was an absolutely the different level All my clients were C level such as CEO, CTO, PMO, and to reach them was really hard I had to build my own email template to make sure the open rate is highest Here was the email template that I use in the first week Picture First emil template By using this template my open rate was 54%, the response rate was 5.4% and the LinkedIn connected was 18.9% That number was not too low but still need to improve that’s why I build another email template Picture Second email template By using this template my open rate was 62%, the response rate was 6% and the LinkedIn connected was 23% That number was much better than the first one that made me quite satisfied but I still try my best to raise this number day by day 2.2.2 Experienced lessons From the difficulties encountered during the practice, I gained a lot of practical experience I broaden my mind in the new industry that I love, sharpen my Sales skills and widen my networking Thanks to all the difficulies I absolutely understand one thing: “ Everything will be alright in the end If it’s not alright, it’s not the end ” This statement is exactly with me I experienced all the difficulty in the time of studying in Thuong Mai University and the time of finding a suitable job However, if you fail and get discouraged, you will certainly not have the success of today Therefore, the first experienced lesson that I want to always keep in my mind is: Be Persistent I am sure that everything won’t be easy in the beginning and I am surely I will encounter failure once, twice or even more, but that's okay, I am still young, just experience, learn from it and then success will definitely come soon 10 The second thing that I always remind myself is: Be Proactive When getting out of university, no one else can remind me what I have to today, what I should do, but it all depends on proactive learning and self-awareness from myself Last but not least, don’t be lazy There are many things we need to explore As long as we are a little lazy we will overlook a lot of great things 11 PART 3: SITUATION OF USING ENGLISH AT THE COMPANY 3.1 Situation of using English at the company English is used as the main communication tool in my company All the employees in Savvycom can fluently use English when speaking, writing, listening or reading Thats make me really impressed and admired them a lot 70% clients of Savvycom are foreigners so all employees recruited to the company are required to have an intermediate level of English proficiency even they are in back office or front office About Sales and MKT department, all members of this department are required fluency in English especially in speaking and writing because it is the bridge from our company to the potential customer In conclusion, English is a must at company and all employees are using it every day 3.2 Suggestions for solutions to improve English proficiency If there is something that I can suggest to improve English proficiency of Savvycom, they must be two main things: - Organized an English club so that everyone could practice English every day and connect with each other - Daily practice listening English accent of different countries because the company's market is very wide from all over the world In order to reach more customers, it is necessary to have better listening comprehension ability in any English accent 12 PART 4: SUGGESTIONS OF THESIS Subject: A study on the real situation of the senior student of the Business English Faculty of Thuong Mai University 13 ...
