INTRODUCTION ABOUT INTERNSHIP PROCESS AT THU AN
The learned lessons
In the process of studying at university, the internship is an extremely precious opportunity to experience the most authentic, professional working environment.
Four weeks in Thu An Tutoring Center not only takes my academic knowledge into practical experience but also lays a solid foundation for my future jobs.
One key lesson I've learned is the importance of being proactive in the workplace In a busy environment, everyone is focused on their own responsibilities, leaving little room for others to monitor your progress Therefore, I make it a priority to take initiative in completing my assigned tasks When challenges arise, I seek assistance from my colleagues or supervisor to ensure I find the best solutions.
During my internship, I learned the importance of asking questions without fear Initially, I struggled with many tasks and worried about bothering others, which slowed down my progress Embracing curiosity and seeking guidance helped me become more efficient and confident in my work.
However, my supervisor and colleagues were very willing to help me or give me advice This was really useful for me.

This internship significantly enhanced my soft skills, which are crucial for career success In addition to acquiring essential knowledge and teaching techniques from my instructors, I also developed valuable soft skills, including effective time management and communication abilities.
Surely, this opportunity will be helpful to my future jobs.
I have enhanced both my soft skills and English proficiency through interactions with native-speaking teachers and by teaching students Additionally, I gained valuable experience in translating important documents, with guidance from the center's teachers and staff, which helped me build confidence in interpreting in front of an audience.
During my internship, I developed valuable interpreting skills while working alongside a native-speaking teacher The dedicated staff at Thu An Tutoring Center provided constructive feedback on my performance, enabling me to learn from my mistakes and gain essential experience for my future career.
During my internship, I developed essential teaching skills while working as a teacher and teaching assistant This experience significantly enhanced my English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation as I explained grammar structures to students Additionally, by observing experienced teachers, I learned how to effectively choose appropriate language tailored to students' needs.
Besides, ways to have conversation with students and how to design PowerPoint to convey the lessons productively are essential manners I learnt and applied.
After nearly a month of training at Thu An Tutoring Center, I myself have accumulated valuable lessons and will always be useful to me in the future.

PART 3: THE REALITY OF USING ENGLISH IN THU AN TUTORING
3.1 The reality of using English in Thu An Tutoring Center
English proficiency is a key requirement in the recruitment process, with varying levels needed based on the specific position within the organization Recruiters will assess candidates' English skills during the interview by conducting conversations in English to evaluate their language capabilities.
The usage of English varies significantly among departments at the center The Academic department engages with English daily, as it directly interacts with foreign teachers and addresses their concerns, necessitating effective communication in both spoken and written English In contrast, the Enrollment and Accounting departments utilize English less frequently; the Enrollment department focuses on course consultations and class scheduling for students, while the Accounting department primarily relies on Vietnamese for report writing.
English-using skills of employees in Thu An Tutoring Center are shown in the table 3.1 below.
Table 3.1: Structure of employees' English-using skills at Thu An Tutoring Center in the period from 2020 to 2022.

TIEU LUAN MOI download : skknchat123@gmail.com moi nhat employees reaching level B has increased that it reached 21.42% (3/14) in 2020;
In 2021, 23.80% of employees held C-level positions, which increased to 26.92% in 2022, largely due to new hires The percentage of employees proficient in foreign languages at grades B and C also rose significantly during these years, reflecting updated company requirements To effectively communicate with a growing number of foreign teachers via phone, video calls, and email, employees are trained in all four language skills—Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing—ranging from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C2) levels Academic and enrollment managers are specifically required to master these skills, along with reading comprehension of contracts and international codes of conduct in English, as outlined in the Competency Framework designed by the center.
3.2 Proposing solutions to improve the quality of using English in the center
Following my internship at Thu An Tutoring Center, I believe the center should implement strategies to assist employees in enhancing their English skills Many individuals struggle to learn English independently in a work environment, highlighting the need for targeted support and resources.
TIEU LUAN MOI download : skknchat123@gmail.com moi nhat confidence in their English prevents employees from speaking up, especially in the workplace So, I propose some solutions for the center.
When recruiting candidates, it is essential to assess their English proficiency alongside professional qualifications Each position should have a designated English skill level to ensure the applicant meets the necessary communication standards.
Encouraging all departments to utilize English more frequently and facilitating opportunities for employees to engage with foreign colleagues will enhance their language skills and boost their confidence in communication.
The center should enhance its team-building initiatives by focusing on English skill development This approach fosters a relaxed environment while encouraging employees to share knowledge and learn collaboratively, leading to significant improvements in their English proficiency.
A positive attitude is crucial for individuals striving to enhance their English skills To encourage continuous improvement, the center should offer small rewards for those who consistently put in the effort.
