选题理由

Grammar is one of the three essential components of any language and plays a crucial role in foreign language teaching, particularly in the field of Chinese linguistics There is a growing consensus on the importance of conducting research on Chinese grammar aimed at teaching it to non-native speakers, with both macro and micro studies yielding new findings Various grammatical theories and schools, such as functional grammar, situational grammar, valency grammar, and discourse grammar, are influencing and advancing the study of Chinese grammar for foreign language instruction The increasing application of these theories in research articles reflects a deeper understanding of the interplay between grammar, phonetics, and vocabulary Grammar teaching has long been regarded as a key challenge, and this holds true for teaching Chinese as a foreign language as well.

Having worked in the Chinese department at the Vietnam-Japan Foreign Language College for several years, I have observed that many students find Chinese grammar challenging, particularly the order of modifiers and adverbials This often leads to confusion and frequent errors in word order, especially during Vietnamese-Chinese translations I believe that most language mistakes made by students during Chinese communication are closely related to their grasp of grammar To address these challenges and improve the current state of Chinese learning, it is essential to place greater emphasis on grammar instruction First, we need to identify the existing issues in our Chinese grammar teaching and understand their underlying causes, allowing us to analyze and implement effective solutions to enhance the quality of our elementary Chinese grammar education.

Based on the reasons outlined, I have decided to choose "Strategies to Improve the Quality of Modern Chinese Grammar Teaching at Vietnamese-Japanese Language Colleges" as the topic for my Master's thesis in Chinese This research aims to conduct a thorough investigation and analysis of the existing issues in beginner Chinese grammar instruction at the institution, identifying the underlying causes and offering recommendations for enhancing teaching quality Upon completion, this thesis will serve as a valuable reference for Chinese language education efforts in Vietnam.

An evaluation of the current state of Chinese grammar instruction at the Vietnam-Japan Foreign Language Vocational College reveals both strengths and weaknesses in the teaching methods employed.

This article identifies the challenges faced by students in the Chinese Department while learning the Chinese language, focusing particularly on grammatical errors It examines the current status of beginner-level Chinese grammatical mistakes among students, categorizes the types of errors, and explores their underlying causes.

(3) 提出以提高本校中文系一年级大学生汉语语法教学的措施。

This paper focuses on the teaching of Chinese grammar to first-year students in the Chinese department at the Vietnam-Japan University of Foreign Languages and Technology.

考察对象:本科第十三届一年级的90个大学生。

In addition, an investigation was conducted into five Chinese language teachers from the Chinese Department to assess the current state of grammar instruction within the program.

This article examines the current state of Chinese grammar teaching and learning at our university, highlighting the challenges and successes faced by first-year students in the Chinese department It identifies key difficulties encountered during their studies and proposes effective strategies to enhance the quality of Chinese grammar education for these students.

考察对象为越日工艺大专第十三届一年级的90个大学生

考察时间从2019年4月至12月为止。

研究任务

为了达到上述的目的,我们要完成以下几个任务:

This study investigates the theories related to modern Chinese grammar instruction for first-year university students in the Chinese Department It examines and evaluates the current state of Chinese grammar teaching and learning at the institution, analyzing survey data to identify key insights into the educational practices.

The current state of Chinese grammar teaching reveals several shortcomings that need to be addressed By identifying these deficiencies, we can analyze the challenges faced in the teaching process and work towards enhancing the effectiveness of Chinese grammar instruction.

Enhancing the quality of Chinese grammar instruction for first-year students in the Chinese department at the Vietnam-Japan Foreign Language Vocational School is essential for their academic success By implementing effective teaching strategies and resources, we can significantly improve students' understanding and application of Chinese grammar This initiative not only contributes to their language proficiency but also supports their overall educational development.

This paper is structured into three main chapters, in addition to the introduction, conclusion, references, and appendices The first chapter provides an overview of Chinese grammar teaching and a review of related research.

Chapter 1: The Theoretical Foundations of Chinese Grammar Teaching 1.1 Issues Related to Basic Modern Chinese Grammar Instruction This section explores the fundamental theories underpinning the teaching of basic modern Chinese grammar, addressing key challenges and considerations in effective instruction It emphasizes the importance of understanding grammatical structures and their application in language learning, while also highlighting common difficulties faced by learners By examining these issues, the chapter aims to provide insights into improving grammar teaching methodologies for better student comprehension and engagement.

(1)语法是什么?

In the "New Modern Chinese Dictionary," researcher Wang Tongyi clarifies that grammar is a branch of linguistics focused on the study of word classes, their variations, and functions The primary aim of grammar research is to analyze syntax and morphology, which examine the relationships between elements within sentences.

Grammar serves as a crucial tool in establishing relationships within sentences and dictates the correct usage of language across both spoken and written forms It embodies the principles and rules that speakers must adhere to when constructing sentences Therefore, it is clear that grammar is intertwined with educational objectives For language learners, particularly Vietnamese students studying Chinese, understanding grammar can significantly enhance their learning experience and effectiveness in communication.

各位语法学家把语法分成:结构语法,造生语法,功能语法。

The three mentioned approaches clearly outline the grammatical system of a language The fundamental meaning of grammar refers to the structural rules that govern a language, which can be understood in both a narrow and broad sense.

Narrowly defined, grammar refers to the organization and structural rules that govern the combination of minimal sound-meaning units into larger units This includes the formation of words from morphemes, phrases from words, and sentences from phrases Grammar can be categorized into two main types: morphology and syntax.

广义的语法指一种语言全部的结构规则。

Some scholars believe that grammar encompasses not only morphology and syntax but also the rules governing the construction of sentences and paragraphs, ultimately forming cohesive texts.

From an educational perspective, grammar refers to the rules governing word formation and sentence construction in a language It encompasses two main components: morphology, which deals with the structure and types of words, and syntax, which focuses on how words are arranged to create meaningful sentences.

( 2) 汉语初级语法教什么

Teaching basic Chinese grammar to beginners focuses on essential grammatical concepts that enable students to apply what they've learned in communication The ultimate goal of learning a foreign language is to facilitate effective communication.

After students complete the introductory course and acquire basic vocabulary, we then introduce them to beginner-level Chinese grammar.

汉语初级语法教学的主要内容:要列出的项目有两类:

一类是虽然不难,但是是体现语法系统总体特征的项目。

For effective language learning, it is essential to teach students the basic concepts and classifications of simple word types such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and pronouns Additionally, understanding the four types of predicate sentences and five types of interrogative sentences in Chinese, as well as special verb predicate sentences, forms the foundation of basic Chinese sentence structures.
