with the general design concept and for general arrangement expressed in the documents Review shall not be construed to mean that the reviewer accepts the detail calculations and dimensions shown in Waterproofing system for roof, all tanks and landscape area will be illustrated in another method statement No Area Details Wet area of units (bathroom, powder room,maid’s 1:Tiling or timber toliet,P.E.S, loggia, shower area, AC ledge, yard, gallery kitchen) 2:screed and leveling mixed with waterproofing additive 3:2 coats waterproofing Common area (refuse chute room ,refuse chamber Material 1.1 Waterproofing membrane coating: Fosroc Brushbond Flex III or other equivalent products 1.2 Waterproofing additive: Mapei-Planicrete SP or other approved equivalent After diluted 1:3 with water,the ratio of Planicrete SP:cement:sand is 1:2:6 1.3 Sealant(Any approved equivalent.) 1.4 Non-shrink grout(Any approved equivalent.) 1.5 Fibre mesh Tools Protective clothing:gloves,goggles and mask Preparation equipment: Water jetting Mixing equipment: KW slow speed drill, 400 or 500 rpm, plus Fosroc propeller agitator Application equipment: Stiff brush,suitable spray equipment,roller Thickness measuring device: wet film thickness gauge III Floor Waterproofing System Waterproofing work plan Take the uint C-3BRbE as an example, indicating the waterproof area of each room in the unit PS: waterproof upturn 730mm in sunken a/c ledge, to be illustrated in related shop drawing Waterproofing detail for refuse chute rooms PS: Other common areas will be illustrated in related waterproofing shop drawing Typical floor trap waterproofing detail RWDP outlet combine detail More typical waterproofing detail refer related shop drawing IV Construction sequence Surface preparation 1.1 Pipe penetration treatment on floor If the pipe is for floor trap,change step 01 ,04as below, the rest are the same 1.2 For the embaded pipe on the wall, the pipe groove will be filled by mortar and make it flat with wall surface after the pipe and shower mixer valve installation on the wall 1.3 Corner treatment Note:create fillet between the walls and floor or walls and walls (Fillet size:30x30 Ratio:1:3 cemnt to sand,mixed with Planicrete SP) 1.4 Structural defects rectification Structural defects such as holes of tie rod on internal wall,honeycomb,blowholes,steel fixture,which will affect waterproofing application,shall follow related MOS approved by T&W and rectify before the commencement of waterproofing work Application 2.1 Pre-wet the substrates and make sure it is well saturated before and during the application for cementitous/concrete based, 2.0 kg/m2 2.2 Mixing ( Do not stir the product by hand, Must be installed in a low speed mixer Stir well.) 2.3 Using brush to apply the 1st layer(500μm) of Fosroc Bushbond Flex III onto the prepared and damped substrates,0.75kg/m2 2.4 Using brush to apply the 2nd layer 500μm of Fosroc Bushbond Flex III onto touch dried of 1st coat.0.75kg/m2 Note:application of following coat of Fosroc Bushbond Flex III in cross direction by stiff brush or trowel to obtain a continuous, unbroken film with the next coat applied after the previous coat has dried, aprx from 2-3hours After 1st coat completion, fence the area to protect applied surface Using wet film thickness gauge to check&ensure the applied waterproofing membrane thickness is accordance with manu facturer’s recommendation 2.5 Reinforcing works to corners and bad condition substrates by a prior layer of waterproofing and reinforced with netting The netting should be sandwiched in between the 1st and 2nd coat 2.6 Water ponding test STEP curb Build a temporary curb (curb high needs to be higher than 100mm) by surrounding the extending area of each room,apply waterproofing coats onto the curb STEP floor trap&pipe Block the pipe before water the room Pipe of floor trap shall be installed at design level(for full finish only, refer IV 1.1 step 01 For basic and bare finish, pipe will not be cut),water pipe&soil pipe shall be cut when intall basin and toilet STEP watering Note:During test, applicator shall monitor the water level every 2-3hours a time Test can only be qualified with no significant water level drop during the testing period and inspection by site staff If not, applicator shall repair coating surface and test again 2.7 Apply mortar protection layer Use mortar to apply a protection layer(approx 20mm) after the water test for waterproofing membrane succeed (mortar shall be mixed with waterproofing additive, After diluted 1:3 with water,the ratio of Planicrete SP(or other approved equivalent):cement:sand is 1:2:6.) 2.8 Screeding and leveling Mixed with additive.After diluted 1:3 with water , the ratio of Planicrete SP:cement:sand is 1:2:6 Screeding and leveling work shall follow approved screeding method statement V Water Ponding Test Procedure After waterproofing work application,test shall proceed within 48h All water tests&waterproofing application shall be inspected by site staffs Procedure applied for full finish units 1st water ponding test for RC slab Duration:12h Water depth:100mm Fail Fill up defects&repair (OK) Waterproofing work application Repair 12h 2nd water ponding test(apply before screeding work) Duration:48h Water depth:100mm Fail Find out the cause of failure (OK) Mortar protection layer&Screed&Tiles Fail 3rd water ponding test(after finishing work) Duration:48h Depth:100mm Procedure applied for basic finish and bare finish units 1st water ponding test for RC slab protection layer(20mm) Screeding Fail Find out the cause of failure VI Protection The worker shall ensure that all the installation debris are removed Progressively before the commencement of the work After the work completed,the surface must be protected by proper barrier After bonding test,temporary kerb shall be carefully removed,not to damage the waterproofing layer applied Upon completion of
