(1)Date of preparing: 04 12 2020 WEEK 14 - Period 27 UNIT 5: ANIMALS Lesson 1: Part A, B, C I Objective: Language focus: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to say names of some animals using “I like …” Vocabulary: cat, dog, bird Structures: I like (cats) Skill: - Listening, speaking, reading, writing Attitude: - Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary II Teaching aids: + Teacher’s aids: Ss’book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, projector /TV + Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook III Method: - Model - Talk - Practice, individual work, pair work, group work IV Procedures: Organization: Class Date of teaching Absent Ss 1B Monday, December 7th 2020 1D Thursday, December 10th 2020 Warm up (5’) *Activity: Sing and Dance - T play “Animals” song (from YouTube) and make gestures following the lyric and asks Ss to stand up and make the gestures New lesson (30’) Teacher - Students’ activies Content *Activity A: Listen and point Repeat (8’) - T arrange the flashcards on the board - T plays the CD and asks them to listen and point - T the CD again and asks Ss to listen, repeat - T say the word and the gestures/ sounds Ex: cat- meow A Listen and point Repeat a Vocab cat: mèo dog: chó bird: chim b.Sentence paterns I like (cats) Play game *Activity: Who is faster?(5’) - T divide the class into groups (2) - T arrange the flashcards on the board - T invite a student from each group to come on the board - T says a word and Ss run to tap the right card *Activity B Listen and point (7’) B Listen and point - T asks Ss some questions about the pictures e.g “What can you see in the picture? What is this? Where is the girl? ” - T asks Ss to look at the pictures - T demonstrate the activity by pointing to the new vocabulary items -T play the CD again and asks Ss to listen and point - T point at each picture and asks Ss to say the sentences “I like…birds/dogs/cats.” C Sing *Activity C Sing (5’) - T asks Ss to turn to page 68 - T read the lyrics as a whole class - T play the CD and asks Ss to listen - T play the CD again and asks Ss to listen and sing along Play game *Activity “Listen and point” (5’) - T write the vocabulary + structures in different areas on the board - T says a word or a sentence (written on the board) - Ss use their fingers to point to the word or the sentence on the board and say it loudly V Summary: - Learn by heart the word “cat, dog, bird” and sentences parterns _ Date of preparing: 06 12 2020 WEEK 14 - Period 28 Unit 5: ANIMALS Lesson 1: Part D, E I Objective: Language focus: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to say names of some animals using “I like …” Vocabulary and structure: Review Skill: (3) - Listening, speaking, reading, writing Attitude: - Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary II Teaching aids: - Book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant III Method: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work,group work IV.Procedures: Organization: Class Date of teaching Absent Ss 1B Wednesday, December 9th 2020 1D Friday, December 11th 2020 Warm up (5’) *Activity: “Flash look and say” - T shows a flashcard quickly - T say that word or a sentence, using “I like…” New lesson (30’) Teacher - Students’ activies Contents *Activity D Point and say (8’) D Point and say - T divide the class into pairs - T calls student A point to the picture and Student B say e.g "I like cats." - T swap roles and repeat - T calls some pairs demonstrate the activity in front of the class Play game *Activity: Look and say (7’) - T show a flashcard to the class - T asks Ss to practice the structure using the new word - T asks Ss to repeat with other flashcards e.g Teacher shows flashcard "cat." Class: "I like cats." *Activity D Play “Board Race” (8’) E: Play “Find the color” - T asks Ss to look at the example - T divide the class into teams - T stick the flashcards on the board - T calls one student from each team stand a distance away from the board - T choose one of the flashcards and say the (4) word - T calls Ss from each team race to the board, touch the correct flashcard and say the correct sentence - The first student to touch the correct flashcard and say the sentence will get one point for their team - Continue with other Ss - The team with the most points wins *Activity: Game on i-ebook (7’) Play game V Summary: - What skills have you practiced?
