away one cards
- Tell the students to open their eyes and name the missing cards

- Stick the cards on board and have students repeat the words chorally several times (in the correct order and then in any order)

- Call some students to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes (if any)

Activity 2: Sound and Word Game (3’)
- Divide the class into two teams, team A and team B. - Put one of the phonics cards (e.g: yo- yo) on the
board
- Ask a student from Team A to identify the sound (one point), the picture (one point) or both (two points) - Continue with a student from Team B.
- Write the points for each team on the board. - Give feedback
Activity 3:( (10 mins)
- T has Ss look at the book and listen to the words - Ss: look and listen
- T has Ss listen and repeat the words for several times. - Ss: listen and repeat
- T has Ss to point to the corresponding item in the picture

- Use the phonics cards on the board and have students sing the chant with yo-yo Do the same with yellow and yatch.

III.Production (5mins)
Activity : Letter Writing Race Game - Ask the students to open their notebooks.
- Give the students minutes to write as many Ss’s as they can
- The winner is the student who has written the most.
