What will happen if every family have a lot of children? -Lead in : today we are learn about world population Before you read : (7 minutes) - Ask students work in pairs and look at two pictures on the book and discuss the questions - Listen to the teacher and open the book – Unit7, part A: reading - Go around and help if necessary -Ask students to give the answers - Listen to students and correct pronunciation and - Look at the book, listen to the teacher grammar if necessary and work in pairs: While you read : (23 minutes) - Students could identify causes to population explosion and facing overpopulated countries Knowledge: - Grammar: The tenses - New words: words related to the topic Skills: -Main skill: Speaking - Sub-skills: Writing, reading , listening II Method: Intergrated, mainly communicative III Teaching aids: handouts,board makers, pictures, etc IV Procedure: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Checking in the whole lesson Warm-up: (5 minutes) - Ask student to read the hand out with a description of a pie chart and discuss the organization and other characteristics of the description - Explain some new words - answer the questions 1, how many parts are there in the description? what are they? 2,what does the first part tell you? 3.what language items should you pay attention to in the second part/underline them 4.what does the last part tell you? -
