It is a fact that to be successful, there are many things that a person has to work out; therefore, being busy is unavoidable However, knowing how to effectively and efficiently manage time, it would be much easier for us to achieve our goals or help produce better outcomes for any kind of situation Good time management allows an individual to complete more in a shorter period of time, lowers stress, and leads to career success From my own experience, the ways how I accomplish my time will be extrapolated explained in the paragraphs that follow After studying and researching on time management topic, I recognized that I have significantly experienced time management skills when I was in university Even though there are various skills of time managing stated, in my perspective, the skills that I best master is Being Structured and a little part of Being Prioritized To explain my view above, I would like to show an example of how I managed my time when studied courses at the same time when I was a university student in my hometown Successfully enrolling in two schools for two majors - Pharmacist degree in a Medical College and Horticulture & Landscape Design in University My nightmare started when I received the lists of subjects that I had to study for each semester Because I could see some subjects having the same period Firstly, I marge two timetables by importing them into Google Calendar The purpose is to show exactly which subjects will be given out at the same time Then I spent my first week for all classes in University and the second week HOW DO I MANAGE TIME? in College I gathered all information about the syllabus of those subjects, then based on the information about attendance checking for each of the ones, I divided them into groups: One is if those subjects have one of them requiring attendance checking, I would decide which I will choose to go to class for attendance, and the rest I would have to study by myself at home using the materials and information from my classmates Another one is if those subjects both requiring attendances checking I would inform both instructors of institutions about my problem, and ask for a flavor to attend another class to meet the requirement of attendance checking Surprisingly, some instructors really empathy with me, and support me a lot, even just ask me to maintain a good course if I have no time to go to class, just study at home or group study with my classmates Therefore, in my mind, Being Structured and a little part of Being Prioritized are two skills that I have significantly been through, and until now, I am still using them Conversely, I would like to express the skills that I realized that I have not been good at - Be Focused and Be Self-aware Despite I try my best to intentionally focus, I sometimes still get distracted In my own experience, at my workplace, it is not really a good environment for working effectively since it is so annoying, from the conversations between the consultants and student’s parents, the sound of social notifications to talkative co-workers, so HOW DO I MANAGE TIME?
