1 Warm up:

1 Topics.

2 Language completences.

- Greeting someone formally……

- Ask and answer questions about someone can do something 3 Phonics.

- Morning afternoon, Vietnamese,… 4 Vocarbulary.

 Words to greet formally and respond to formal greetings. Words to name countries and nationalities.

 Words to name months and dates. Words to indicate actions.

5 Sentence patterns.

- Review all sentence from unit 6 to unit 10

Period 66: A1 – A5.

I Listen and tick.

 Teacher:- Ask pupils to open their Student’s book on Page 70 and look at the pictures.

- Tell them that they are going to listen to five different dialogues and tick the correct pictures

- Help pupils to identify the situations in the pictures.

- Play the recording for pupils to listen

- Play the recording again for pupils to listen and tick.- Have pupils check answer with your partner.

- Replay to check the answers.: 1 c, 2.b

 Pupils:-Look at the pictures and say the information about the pictures.- Listen carefully and tick.

Activity 1: Read and listen to the story

a vocabulary: -T recalls all the new words Sts follows T’s instructions.

b Set the scene: Have Ss look at the pictures and introduce five characters Teacher describe the content of each picture.

- This is the 1st of four cartoons about Miu the Cat and Chit the Mouse To help Ss get the

idea of the story, simply let them read and listen to this episode In later episodes, the initial task will be more challenging.

- Before Ss listen, ask them to look at the pics and ask them questions (e.g A part from the cat and mouse, what can you see? A chair, a door, a window, etc.)

- Play the tape and let the Ss read and listen.

Activity 2: Answer the question

Ss listen to the dialogue carefully and fill the words they hear into the gaps

- 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books

- 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and number.- 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers.- Have Ss trade their answers in pairs for correction

- Ask some questions to ensure Ss’ comprehension of the listening text.Answers:

Activity 3: Unscramble these words from the story

- 1st reading: Ss read the sentences individually and check their prediction.- 2nd reading: Ss do the task (match the sentence with a appropriate respond.)- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary

- Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction

- Call on some Ss to report their answers Others listen and comment.

- T gives feedback: a/holihundred; b/Saturday c/watch; d/badminton; c/practising

Activity 4: Read and complete

-T tells the context and completes the sentences.

- Give a few seconds for Ss to read and look at the pictures.- Check comprehension and elicit the words to fill the gaps.- Ask Ss do the task.

- Do choral and individual repetition.

Activity 5: Work in pair Talk about your school Sports day

- T asks Ss do the task for 5 minutes T goes around for help, if necessary.- T calls some Ss go to the board and write down their answers The others give comment.

Activity 6: Read and match:

- Tell Ss that they’re going to read the sentences on the lefl and pair them with those on the right by drawing a line between them

- Give Ss time to do the task.

- Get Ss to swap and check their answers before checking as a class - Have a few pairs act out the dialogues.

Homelink: T tells the homelink, Ss take note.

- Learn all the vocabulary and structures from unit 6 to unit 10.
