b/ V_ed (những động từ có qui tắc)

- V vần, có nguyên âm + phụ âm : gấp đôi phụ âm +ed Ex: stop – stopped

-V vần, nhấn âm 2, tận = nguyên âm + phụ âm : gấp đôi phụ âm +ed

Ex: admit – admitted, transmit - transmitted - V tận = phụ âm + y : bỏ y ,+ ied Ex: try – tried, carry – carried

(Khi cịn bé, tơi thường câu cá)

They used to live in London

(Họ sống London)

That hotel used to be a cinema

(Khách sạn trước rạp chiếu phim)

Trong câu phủ định câu hỏi, ta dùng trợ động từ did

She didn’t use to like opera, but now she likes it

(Trước ta khơng thích nhạc kịch, ta thích nó)
