- Động từ tận “Y “, đứng trước phụ âm đổi “ -Y” -> “ -IES” Ex: Study Studies

Trước “Y” phụ âm, “Y” đổi thành ‘I’ thêm ‘ED’ Ex : study stutied
- Động từ vần, tận phụ âm đứng sau nguyên âm, ta gấp đôi phụ âm trước thêm ‘ED’
