I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will able to:

- consolidate the sound of the letters Ee, Ff, Gg and Hh the corresponding words - Learn and practise reading skill

II.Vocabulary: new words from unit to unit 8

III Method: Teacher-whole class, groups, individuals. IV Teaching aids: Phonics cards, cd.

* Warm up: Prepare some phonics cards from Units 5-8

Hand out the cards to various students

Teacher say out the sound, the students holding the cards with that sound come to give the cards to the teacher

* Presentation and Practice:

1 Circle the right letters Say the letter and the sound (10 mins)

Explain the activity

Ask the students to name the pictures and the corresponding sounds

The students circle the letters or the sound in each picture

Go around the classroom to provide any necessary help, ask individual students to say out the letters, the sounds and the pictures

2 Use the code and colour the pictures (10mins)

Explain the activity

Ask the students to name the items

1 Circle the right letters Say the letter and the sound.

The teams take it turn to send a student to the board

As they come forward, give them a phonics card from the words they have learnt

Students try to illustrate it by drawing the pictures so that their team can identify

If their team recognizes the word, they get point The team with the most points wins

The students who are assigned that word from two team race to pick up the flag or the ball

The student who gets the flag or the ball first wins and gains point for the team

The teams with the most points wins * Homework:
