WEEK 15 – PERIOD 29

UNIT 5: MY COLOURS Lesson 1

I Objectives

- By the end of this unit, pupils can identify basic shapes, identify colours - Pupils can recognize English sounds and spoken words

- Pupil can develop fine motor control II Procedures

*Warm up: Review school things. A Presentation

1 Teaching vocabulary

Step 1: Teacher teaches vocabulary: circle, rectangle, square, triangle, blue, green, orange, red, yellow

Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.

Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.

B Practice

2 Listen and say

Step 1: Tell pupils that they are going to learn the words for the shapes and the colours

Step 2: Play CD Pause after each word so pupils can point to the shape or colour in their books

Step 3: Play CD again Pupils repeat the word chorally and individually. C Production

Step 1: Say the words at random, e.g circle, rectangle, square, triangle, blue, green, orange, red, yellow

Step 2: Check pupils are pointing to the correct shape and colour in their books. Step 3: Play CD and pause after each word Pupils listen and point to the object in their books

D Application

- Learn new words by heart

WEEK 15 – PERIOD 30

UNIT 5: MY COLOURS Lesson 2

I Objectives

- By the end of this unit, pupils can recognize shapes - Pupils can recognize colours

- Pupil can develop fine motor control II Procedures

*Warm up: Review the name of the colours. A Presentation

1 Teaching structure

Step 1: Teacher teaches structure: It’s + colour.

Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the structure.

Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.

B Practice

Step 3: Play CD again Pupils repeat the phrases chorally and individually. C Production

3 Say and do

Step 1: Hold up the flashcard of the blue triangle Say It’s blue It’s a…

Step 2: Repeat with the flashcards of the red square, green rectangle, and yellow circle

Step 3: Repeat with the other flashcards. D Application

- Learn structure by heart
