Âu - Phi - Australia Vị trí địa lý khiến Singapore đón nhận lượng lớn nguời dân nhập cư từ Trung Quốc, Ấn Độ đến làm ăn lập nghiệp Do đó, Singapore xã hội dân nhập cư từ lúc khởi đầu, tính chất đa văn hóa Singaporee xuất trước độc lập thành lập nhà nước - quốc gia Đó lý dù dân số khoảng 5,607 triệu người (theo số liệu Ngân hàng Thế giới năm 2016), từ cuối kỉ XIX, Singapore trở thành xã hội đa chủng tộc, đa văn hóa châu Á Mỗi sắc tộc đến định cư Singapore mang theo văn hóa, tập tục, tơn giáo riêng họ Bởi vậy, dù Singaporee khơng có văn hóa lâu đời tương ứng với cộng đồng sắc tộc đảo quốc nhiêu văn hóa với tôn giáo, ngôn ngữ khác Sự diện nhiều sắc tộc, tôn giáo, ngôn ngữ dệt lên tranh đa văn hóa mn màu sắc Singapore, củng cố sắc đặc thù văn hóa, sắc tộc làm nên sắc đất nước này; mặt khác, gây cho Singapore thách thức không nhỏ, ngày đầu lập quốc Trong đó, năm đầu tách khỏi Malaysia, Singapore quốc gia nghèo nàn, lạc hậu, phải đối mặt với nhiều vấn đề kinh tế xã hội Tốc độ tăng trưởng kinh tế chậm, lương người lao động thấp, t lệ thất nghiệp cao, sở hạ tầng bị tàn phá; trình độ dân trí thấp, giáo dục, y tế, văn hóa lạc hậu; xung đột tơn giáo, dân tộc diễn gay gắt Tuy nhiên, trải qua 50 năm xây dựng phát triển, Singapore vươn từ làng chài nhỏ bé thành cường quốc kinh tế giới, ―từ giới thứ ba vươn lên giới thứ nhất‖, điển hình cho quốc gia thành công vĩ đại k XX DANH MỤC CÔNG TR NH KHOA HỌC CỦA TÁC GIẢ ĐÃ CÔNG Ố LI N QUAN ĐẾN LUẬN ÁN [1] Nguyễn Thị Như (2015), ―Đa văn hóa sách giáo dục Singapore‖, Tạp chí Nghiên cứu Ấn Độ hâu Á (7), ISSN 0866 -
