C.Preparation : Pictures on page 13, poster D.Procedure : Teachers instructions : I.Check up : The wish sentences. -Give Ss some real situations and ask them to make the wish sentences. II.Warm up: Getting Started (choose 1 or 2) 1. IV.While -Reading : 1.Listen : Set the scene : -Ask Ss to look at the books and listen to the tape to check their prediction. 2.Read : -Ask Ss to read the text to do the exercise a -Elicit to find out the Present Perfect Tense ( if necessary ) -Ask Ss to read the text the second time to answer the questions in the exercise b. 1.Who used to wear the ao dai by tradition? -Do you know:Thai, Muong, Hmong, Ede . what do you call them? -Look at the poster.How many sentences are there? Guess which sentences are true and which are false. Answer Keys : a. F b. F c. T d. T -you are going to listen to a text about the traditional dress of Viet Nam.Now, look at the book , listen to the tape and check your prediction. -Use the information from thr passage to complete the sentences. Prepare U2 :Speak (p14-15)ask& repond to questions on personal references -They have printed lines of poetry on it or have added symbols such as suns, stars, crosses and stripes to the ao dai. B.Aim : To ask and respond to questions on personal references. Answers : a/ a colorful T-shirt b/ a sleeveless sweater c/ a striped shirt d/ a plain suit e/ a faded jeans f/ a short - sleeved blouse g/ a baggy pants h/ a plaid skirt i/ blue shorts Checking Vocabulary : Kims Game -Ask Ss to remember the phrases on page 14, 15 in 30 seconds.Then let their books closed. -Divide the class into 4 groups. -Ss from each group take turn to go to the board write as many words as they can. -Group with the most words wins the game. - you use the yes/no question to ask. Example : S1 : Is she wearing a kimono ? S2 : yes / no. -Look at the picture.( picture h).This skirt is . -Look at this picture.(picture b).This sweater is . -Now, work in pairs.Match the phrases to the pictures in your books. -Lets play the game. Look at the pictures and the phrases on page 14, 15 in 30 seconds. Now, close your books. Go to the board and write as many words as you can. Look at these pictures : -Do you have one of these clothes ? -Which clothes do you have ? -When do you wear them ? -What is your favorite type of clothing ? Why ? -Is it comfortable ? -What color is it ? -On occasions such as : Tet holiday, birthday, Wedding .people often wear new clothes.If you want to know what they wear, what do you ask ? - Now, work in your groups of 8. -Look at the table in exercise b. Read and write two more questions about your friends’ wear. -Take your form to interview your friends in your groups.Ask your friends and tick in column “name”, then write some notes in your form. IV.Homework : -Write a short paragraph about your type of clothing on special occasions. -Make a list of type of clothing that most of the students in the class like wearing on different special cases. B.Aim : To listen for specific information and further practice on the Present Perfect with FOR or SINCE. C.Preparation : pictures on page 16 D.Procedure : Teacher’s instructions : ϑ Check up :( if enough time) - Test the Homework. LISTEN : I.Pre -Listening : 1.Questions - Answers : -Ask Ss to look at the pictures on page 16 and answer the questions about each of them. -Write the answers on board. -Ss read the answers. 2.Pre-teach : -announcement (translation) :thọng baùo, loan baùo. -missing (synonym) # lost :thỏỳt laỷc -an entrance (synonym) # door / gate : lọỳi vaỡo -Fair (explanation) :họỹi chồỹ -a doll ( realia) :buùp bó Checking Vocab : R O & R II.While -Listening: 1.Set the scene : -Ss listen (once). Answers : 1.She is three. -Now, go to the board and write the words relating to CLOTHING. -The teams which writes more words in 3 minutes is the winner. Team A : white chalk Team B : blue chalk -Look at the pictures on page 16 and answer the questions : +What are these ? +What do you call these clothes in English? +What is this ? ( T.points) +What color is this? +What color are these? +Are these shoes or sandals ? -How do you say thọng baùo in English? -What is the synonym of lost? -What is the synonym of door, gate? -an event (or activity) when people or company bring their products for you to look at or buy -you will hear an announcement about a lost little girl called Mary. III.Post - Listening : 1.Speaking : -Ask Ss to describe a friend of theirs by answer the questions : + How old is she / he ? + What is she / he like ? + What type of clothing does she / he like wearing ? + What is she / he wearing today ? ϑ LANGUAGE FOCUS I.Presenting structures : 1.The use of the Present Perfect : -Ask Ss to look at the dialogue on page 19. ( poster can be used) -Elicit from the Ss.  The Present Perfect is used to talk about something which started in the past and continue up to the present. 2.The form of the tense : S + have / has + past participle Notes : FOR + a period of time SINCE + a point of time II.Practice : -Ask Ss to use the information in the table on page 20 to make similar dialogues.Then practice with their partner. 1.How old is she ? 2.Where was she last seen ? 3.What is she like ? -Now, you listen again and check ( 3) the letter of the correct picture to show what Mary is wearing. -Look at your friend in class, describe him / her by answering these questions : How old is he / she ? . - Look at the poster.( Dialogue on page 19). Read the dialogue in 1 minute. -Tell me what tense is used in the dialogue ? (Present Perfect) -When do we use the Present Perfect? -When do we use for and since ? -Use the information on page 20 : Quang - brother’s friend Hoa - new friend To make sinilar dialogues, then practice with your partner. B.Aim : To read the text for details. C.Preparations :Pictures, Poster (check up) D.Procedure : Teacher’s instructions : I.Check up : -The report of the results.( hang the poster with the Survey, ask Ss to report) -The Present Perfect Tense. II.Warm up : Shark’s attack. -Look at the Survey and report the results, beginning with “ Nam said that .” -Do you know this game ?
