PERIOD 1 : INTRODUCTION I. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know about structrure of English 6 and their contents II. TEACHING - AID T : Teaching plan, teaching aids . P : Prepare books and notebooks. IV. PROCEDURES : 1. warm up: Greeting and check the numbers of students 2. Presentation: T: introduce Ss : Listen Teacher’s and students’ activities Content of the activities T: guide Ss how to learn well Ss : Listen I/ STRUCTURE OF THE BOOK : There are 6 themes in English 6 - Personal information -Education - Community - Health - Recreation - The world around us - This book consists of 16 units. Each unit has its topic - One unit may have 3 parts A - B and C or 2 parts A and B. There are about 5 or 6 periods in each unit. - After each of unit have a remember part to consolidate the main languages of the unit. - After 2 or 3 units we have a language review to review the vocabulary and structures . - Pictures in the book is very clear and beautiful, they help students learn new words effectively. - Learning English that means we learn 4 skills: Reading, writing, listening T: review English in Primary School (if possible) T: may show some common requests: Work with a partner Work in pair/group Listen/ listen and repeat . and speaking. II/ HOW TO LEARN WELL : - If you want to learn well you have to love what you learn . You don’t think it’s your obiligities. You always try to remember what your teachers said and try to speak what you think. - Besides the book, we have workbook that consists of exercises that pupils must do them at home. - You have to do all the exercises that teacher give. - Learn all thing by heart. Ss: See each other at the beginning of school year greeting, make friends 3. Presentation : Teacher & Students' actvities Content of the lesson Activity 1 : Sts know greeting Teacher present the greetings Teacher read and students repeat Activity 2 : Sts practise greeting Ask student to practice the greetings again Activity 3 : Sts know Introduce one’s name Teacher present how to introduce the name and do the parttern Ask students to repeat Activity 4 : Sts practise Introduce one’s name Ask students to practice in group Teacher call student to check 1. listen and repeat Vocabulary : Hello Hi 2. practice say “Hello, Hi” to the classmate 3. listen & repeat - Introduce one’s name : I’m + tên ( I am + tên ) My name 's + tên ( My name is + tên ) Ex: I' m ha / my name ' s ha 4. practice I’m + tên ( I am + tên ) My name 's + tên ( My name is + tên ) 3. Consolidation : Ss : Practice with each other : Greeting and introduce their name. 4. Home works - Practice the lesson at home with your partners. - Do exercises prom 1 to 4 page (4, 5) in workbook. Teacher presentand explain the situation and request of the lesson T: present the new words Teacher read and students repeat Activity 2 : Knowing to wite information of greeting & health. Ask and answer about the health (use as a greeting) Teacher presentand explain the situation and request of the lesson Let Ss complete the dialogue Ask Ss to practice the dialogue in pair 5. listen & repeat Vocabulary : I am you are How are you ? I’m fine. Thanks How are you? - I am fine / I am not fine 7 write Nam: Hello, Nga. How are you? Nga: Hi, I’m fine, thanks 3. Consolidation : T : Say about what learned and asks pupils do the ex 4 give correct key 4.
