Creating Upsell Copy Front-End Copy vs Upsell Copy The copy for your upsell is different from your initial, front-end sales copy Why? The front-end copy serves to build engagement and trust After the customer buys, the mindset of the customer is very different because they’ve already paid and committed to your product The Video Post-Purchase The “Thank You” page is the hottest time to present something to your customer This is the page that comes right after they buy They already trust you and have their payment information on hand What you want to do: 1) You want to welcome them in, thank them, and give them some content in a few sentences 2) Lead them into your upsell and offer it to them slowly—not as a hard sell 3) Convince them that the upsell will help with the product Remember, upsells complement the initial front end product Most importantly, DON’T act like you are trying to sell the customer for the first time The customer thinks that they just bought a product and you don’t want to make it seem like you are trying to sell them something again Treat your customer as a person not a sale
