The idea that only some lives matter, is the root cause of all that is wrong with the world

What’s right in the world?

Anyone trying to make a difference is the right in this world Whether it be a small jester that helps someone make it through

a tough day, or something big you are able

to do that will forever change or impact the world we live in for the better

Who is your favorite role model and why?

Again I really look up to women who take charge of their own lives, by working hard

My go to number has always been 4

Do you care at all about Astrology?

I do, I find it very interesting, at a young age Iwas always reading my daily horoscope, and getting my future read through tarot cards

Thoughts on city life versus country life?

Country life is 100% the way to grow up, but the city life is where you’re going to find who you are and build a career (from my personal experience)

Where will you be in exactly one year from this moment?

Continuing to hustle and build my Haute Agency empire

What would you wear on the perfect date?

Well this depends on which version of my perfect date were on I have two visions of a perfect date One where I am taken out for the night of my life… which in that case I would rock my Louboutin’s with a very fash-ionable dress But if were staying in binge

watching my favorite movies (which is also a perfect date for me) I would wear a cute little track suit that is also extremely comfy

One thing you’d change, if you ruled the world?

If I ruled the world, no one would ever go hungry We have more than enough food to

go around, and it just makes me sick to my stomach to think about how many people are starving to death, while others are literal-

ly throwing food in the trash

My story in less than 5 minutes

I grew up in a small town with a big family

of 6 kids! I was taught at a very young age to dream, believe and achieve, and that is ex-actly what I have been doing since I was 12 years old threw my entrepreneurship

If your life was made into a movie, who would play your part and which actor would you want to be your leading man?

This is an easy one, I would want Jennifer Lawrence to play my role, although I don’t personally know her

I see a lot of myself in her and feel she would execute my role perfectly My leading man would be Ben Affleck when in his prime

Over the years, MegaCon

orga-nizers have given us a chance to

meet our heroes, showcase our

cosplay talents, buy some

sou-venirs - for those who collect items each year,

meet new people, and so many other things

While this year was fun, it also provided us

with a chance to evaluate our options so as

to be more prepared come 2019 MegaCon

2018 had prepared some good surprises for

us including taking a tour of the Jurassic Park

and the harry potter escape room We got

to meet wonder woman and other

celebri-ties that we have been dying to take pictures

with This was the good side of MegaCon

2018 On the other hand, you will have to

agree that even though the lineups were fast

and orderly, we still got anxious and tired

In addition, some MegaCon vendors closed

early and we never got a chance to purchase

some of the sci-fi merchandise we would

have wanted That said it is time to prepare

for the next years event, which by the way

will be from May 16th to May 19th Some

of you may have been disappointed by this

year’s event while other wished it could have

lasted a little longer Regardless of where

you fall in those categories; here is why you

should make plans before the D-day for

MegaCon’s kick off;

1 So much has happened so far

It is to be expected that the trends,

com-ic and movie releases will inspire the next

event For 2019, it’s hard not to want to be

there After all, the likes of Aquaman and the

much-awaited avenger’s endgame will have

been released Also, we hope that we will get

to honor one of the greats in the comic

busi-ness; Stan Lee On a lighter note, there is

more to expect in next year’s event and to be

part of the experience without feeling

incon-venienced, you will have start early

prepa-ration

2 The tickets are ready and plenty

Again, no one likes to wait in lines To some

extent, it is unavoidable especially due to

the large numbers of fans who gather for the

event However, only the last minute kind

get to wait in lines Already the ticket sales

have begun and it is time you got yours

Whether you are planning to take your

family or going alone, get to the MegaCon’s

website and secure your ticket An advantage

of doing this is that as the day nears, you

will be relaxed and will have no worries how

you are going to fulfill your promise to your

friend or family

3 The guest list

MegaCon is the place to be to have a on-one interaction with celebrities You also get a chance to ask some questions to know more about your favorite series and comics Following that logic, it is important

one-to get your points ready in case you get one-to meet them You do not want to regret that you never asked the one question that has always been in your mind MegaCon 2019 guest list is yet to be unveiled but hopefully,

it will be as good as this year’s But when has MegaCon ever failed us when it comes to the guest list? The diversity in the list is also the more the reason you should be excited to go

4 It is fun at a cost

Though not a big deal so long as one gets to enjoy the four days to the fullest, you still have to have your financials in order You will spend quite a lot particularly if you take your kids to the event And that is not to say that for those who go solo are better off

No MegaCon has so many things from the comics to the movies figures that you will

be attracted to buy Do not allow yourself

to get out of the event empty handed only with the memory Load up now so that we will get to see what we missed in whatever your purchase

5 The large numbers attending

Fans from all over crowd the town of lando all seeking to have a good time This presents an issue for those who want to be part of the whole convention Booking hotel rooms early enough will ensure that you get the most out of MegaCon Booking early means that you will enjoy discounted prices

Or-as well, before the hotels start taking tage of the last minute planners

Cosplayers make MegaCon a colorful event People get to dresses as their favorite super-heroes, villains and other characters It is one of the many reasons why we go to the convention Therefore if you are planning

to wear a costume, be sure that you will be

in the spotlight So you have to spend some money and dedicate your time to search for

a costume that will make the headlines You might also want to improvise The design you choose should be shouting and appropriate for the event as well Besides the above, there

is also some aspects of the convention that you have to be prepared for The food served there and if you will be a vendor on that day, make the necessary arrangements to gain a spot to showcase what you have

As we near a conclusion, it is important to note that MegaCon has made changes to ac-commodate everyone including people with disability They too deserve to join in on the fun That means you can bring your friend and let them have the time of their lives for the four days The convention is free of judg-ment and discrimination As MegaCon pre-pares to host you, so should you Mark the date and clear your schedule for those days

Which game do you love playing most? Did

you know that playing that game, and many others has its perks? Yes, you have read that right It’s not a typo As gaming becomes more popular among both the kids and adults,

several issues have been raised as to how playing these

games has affected our daily lives We have all been there

and most of us view video games as an ‘evil’ that needs

to be kicked out in our society There is some element of

truth in this statement working with the results we have

acquired from observing gamers

Well, one negative of video games is the addiction You

find that trying to defeat the boss or getting beyond that

hard level is your priority other than doing other things

This is a sign of addiction Some even go for close to

24hours just racing and blowing up stuff Another

nega-tive effect is the rising numbers of obesity Being a couch

potato will do that Kids today prefer to sit around the

house and play games rather than going outside to play

with others Also, people who like dark games have been

found to have a high level of aggressiveness

Allowing the gaming culture to reach these heights that

we can only see the negative side has led to people

ignor-ing all the good gamignor-ing can do for you Of course, we

are not dismissing the negative It’s only that for once we

should try to see how gaming has improved our lives and

how to ensure they continue to do so without reaching

those dangerous levels

So, let us start with the obvious;

• Video games bring us closer to each other

Video games are a good bonding activity for people across all walks of life Whether it’s kids making new friends

or parents wanting to get closer to their children

Vid-eo games give us something we can talk about and learn more about each other It is not odd to see a family that will allocate time for gaming at this day and age Why? It’s because they have realized it’s a good way to strengthen their bond At work, you will often find that workmates who come together on weekends to play Fifa, or any other game they like, are closer than they are with others

• They are good for stress relief

Picture this, you come home from your daily hassle, you have a headache following all you have been through the day and you really need a relief In case exercising, or tak-ing a walk to clear your mind isn’t your thing, you can try gaming Even kids who have had a rough day will sudden-

ly change their mood once they get playing What pens is, as your mind drifts its concentration to the virtual world of gaming, all those things contributing to your headache become obsolete at that moment Therefore, you will forget what is troubling you uplifting your mood

Let us face it There are so many wrongs in the world and unless we are occupied, it’s hard not to find yourself doing the wrong thing The fact that one can play video games

Changing the tone, a study by Shawn Green

(Uni-versity Of Rochester) showed how well people who

play action games are good at decision making The

study involved young adults who have never played

games

They were divided into two groups One group to

play action games and the other to play strategy

games In the end, Shawn Green found that the

abil-ity of people to take in sensory data and process it to

make the right decisions to play the game improved

their decision-making skills

• Video games are associated with better

perfor-mance and increased memory

Every now and then, you will often forget

some-thing you meant to do Fortunately playing video

games can improve your memory The Journal of

Neuroscience posted a study in 2015 which had

different groups play angry birds, super Mario 3d

world and the other group never played anything

In conclusion to the research, the lot that played the

3D games were found to fair well on other memory

tasks as the games stimulated the brain Based on

that research, it would be wise to play more of 3D

video games

• Video games make us social

Seems farfetched, doesn’t it? Researchers from ada and UK have backed this with an experiment conducted in different institutions Gamers were found to have an easy time interacting with others contrary to what most of us think The stereotype that being cooped up in the house playing games will make one antisocial is just a stereotype Not all gamers fit the description The love gamers have for gaming bring them close as they share that one com-mon thing

There is no denying how video games have us ing and at the same time controlling characters while keeping contact with the screen Engaging all these parts of the body has led to gamers being good
