(v) DAy m~nh sv lien k€t, hqp tac nuac va qu6c te v€ dao t90, b6i duo-ng phat tri~n nhan Ivc du lich; (vi) Xay dvng moi trucmg, di€u ki~n lam vi~c t6t d~ thu hut va str dl}ng hi~u qua nhan Ivc du lich NGUC)'JHUONG DAN KHOA / PGS, TS Ph~m Thi Tuy QC NGHIEN CUu SINH _ -, /ltd_:J Le Thi Thanh Huy~n BRIEF INFORMATION OF THE DOCTORAL THESIS Title: Human resource development in tourism in Da Nang City Major: Political Economy Code: 62 31 01 02 PhD Candidate: Le Thi Thanh Huyen Training course: No 32 (2016 - 2019) Supervisor: Assoc Prof, Dr Pham Thi Tuy Training institution: Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Summary of the new contributions 8.1 Contributions in terms of academic and theories Approaching the topic from the perspective of political economy, the thesis has generalized the concept, characteristics, roles and content of human resource in tourism Analyzing the contents and factors affecting human resource development in tourism in provinces and cities in particular and in Viet Nam in general 8.2 New findings and main results of the thesis - Human resource development in tourism not only plays a decisive role in the development of the tourism industry to become a key economic sector but also contributes positively to the implementation of industrialization and modernization associated with the knowledge economy and integration in the new situation Danang is a city with many advantages and potentials for tourism development, contributing to the socio-economic development strategy of the city The thesis assesses the results of human resource development in tourism in Da Nang City which is the increase in quantity, quality (physical strength, mental capacity and attitude) step by step improving, and structure suitable to meet the basic requirements of tourism development The thesis also points out the limitations such as: The number of human resource is insufficient, the structure of the industry, the level is not reasonable, the lack of high quality human resource; Professional qualifications, foreign languages, knowledge, skills, attitudes are still limited compared to the requirements of the tourism industry; The scale of industry, content, program, form of training and retraining of human resource in tourism is not commensurate with development trend of the tourism industry; Mechanisms and policies on human resource development are still inconsistent and fail to create breakthroughs; Policies on creating environment and working conditions are still limited - The thesis proposes groups of solutions to develop human resource in tourism in Da Nang city, namely: (0 Raising awareness, role and position of human resource in tourism for tourism industry development; (ii) Building and completing socio-economic policies; (iii) Developing of education and training to constantly improve the quality of human resource in tourism; (iv) Implementing well policies on health care, physical fitness for human resource in tourism;
