Week 23 - Period LETTER E Learn to sound – learn new words  OBJECTIVES:At the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - recognize words such as "Ee, /e/, egg, hen" - pronounce letter “E”, its sound, and words “egg, hen” - understand the meaning of the words  LANGUAGE:  Skill: Listening, Speaking, Reading  Key vocabulary:" Ee, /e/, egg, hen  RESOURCES AND MATERIALS - Media, Pupil’s book, Flashcards, Pictures STEPS I.INTRODUCTION TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES  Weather Report: - Ask the class about today’s weather and put the weather symbol on the board  Warm - up: - Teacher plays the Warm up Song “Do it” (sing and actions with students)  Review and Lead-in - Teacher asks children to review letter E (previous lesson) - Teacher introduces the letter by saying a short simple sentence "Today we will learn a new letter Can you guess what letter?" STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES sing a song and actions - Listen and say - answer the question  - II.PRESENTATION - II DEVELOPMENT Learn to sound (Ee, /e/, egg) Teacher lets students recognize the letter 'E' by clicking on the media and asking students to listen two or three times Teacher helps students pronounce the words and the sound correctly Teacher clicks the symbol: “Sound” on the media Let students listen “E, /e/, bird” times and then repeat Teacher shows egg” Let students recognize the meaning of the word “egg” Teacher checks students’ pronounciation Let students practice saying words as a whole class, groups, individuals Teacher clicks on the symbol “Song” on the media, then asks students to listen times and sing Words song  Book using - Ask students to practice saying words in their books - Raise the book high enough so that students can see it clearly  Learn new words (egg, hen) Teacher shows the pictures Listen and say Ee, /e/, egg correctly listen and repeat - Sing a song the activity in pairs or individuals Pay attention “egg, hen” and answer the - Teacher explains the meaning of the words by giving them the questions comparison of “big, small, round and square” III CONSOLIDATION - Period LETTER E Learn more – learn to write  OBJECTIVES:At the end of the lesson: - Students will be able to recognize and pronounce correctly the phrases such as “two eggs, three eggs” - Students will be able to understand the meaning of the phrases such as “a two eggs, three eggs” - Students know how to write letter 'A' in a correct way  LANGUAGE:  Skill: Listening, Speaking, reading  Teaching Focus: Students understand and communicate with language items about adjectives “two eggs, three eggs”  RESOURCES AND MATERIALS - Media, Pupil’s book, Flashcards, Pictures STEPS I II INTRODUCTION PRESENTATION TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES  Weather Report: Ask the class about today’s weather  Warm up and review: - Teacher and students greet each other - Teacher plays the Warm up Song Teachers sings and does the actions with students  Lead-in - Teacher reviews the lesson E by using” egg, hen” - Teacher corrects students’ mistakes  Learn More (two eggs, three eggs) Teacher shows some flashcards: “two eggs, three eggs” - Teacher explains the meaning of these new words - Teacher lets students revise the pronunciation by clicking on the media and asking students to listen STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES Students sing a song and actions - Students pay attention and answer the question - pay attention and answer the questions - listen and say the words correctly two or three times - Teacher lets students repeat the phrase " two eggs, three eggs” as the whole class, in groups, individuals III DEVELOPMENT  Game Tongue Twister: + Teacher divides students into 04 groups and lets students practice the phrases “two eggs, three eggs + Those who are the fastest will win the game  Book using - Ask students to practice saying words in their books - Let students listen to the media and point to the phrases in their books - Ask students to read the phrases without listening to/ looking at the media  Learn to write (letter Bb) - Teacher lets students recognize the letter “E” by clicking on the media and asking students to look at it two or three times - Teacher emphasizes the way to write big “E” and little “e” - Let students practice saying words as a whole class, groups, individuals - play “Game Tongue Twister” Students the activity in pairs or individuals - Let students practice writing words as a whole class, in - Ask students to the actions (look, groups, and write and count the letters in the air, individuals on the palm, or on their friends' backs) - Ask students to write letter ‘Ee’ on - Students their boards/ notebooks Ask students to practice saying words in their books IV CONSOLIDATION  Check what students have learned (two eggs, three eggs) Exercises  Story time uses a finger to write a letter on the air Students say what they have learned Week 23 -
