TOPIC 9: LEARNING ENGLISH People learn English all over the world and I do, too. I started learning English when I was 16 years old. It was one of the compulsory subjects that I had to study at school. Since then I have attended quite a lot of English classes, but the most interesting class for me was the class I joined in Apollo English Center. There were 10 students in the class, and we had a lot of fun together during the lessons. Our teacher was a Canadian man. He helped us a lot. During the lessons we learnt to speak and listen, read and write in English. English was not easy but we enjoyed learning it. Outside the classroom many things can help us improve English such as the internet, English songs, stories, films, TV programs in English… It’s clear that English is very important because it’s the language of international communication. It’s used in science and technology, economics, politics… Besides, English is the key to the world, it may bring you a lot of opportunities to study or work abroad. That’s why learning English is a problem of great importance if you want to have a bright future.
