Unit 6: Week: 20, Period: 39 Date: 15/12/2008 THE ENVIRONMENT LISTEN – LANGUAGE FOCUS 2, 4, I Aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to develop their listening skill for details to complete the notes about the reasons why Ocean is polluted II Language Contents:  Grammar : - The passive voice - Adverb clauses of reason - Conditional sentences: type  Vocabulary : III Teaching Aids: - Posters, pictures, textbook, lesson plan … IV Procedures: CONTENTS I – Class order: (1’) - Greeting II – Check up: III – New lesson: (44’) Warm up: (5’)  Shark attack: TECHNIQUES - Greeting - Teacher draws gaps for the words + Students try to guess each letter + Individual - The game continues until students find out the words OCEAN POLLUTED Pre _ Listening: (11’)  Pre _ teach vocabulary - Ocean (n): đại duong, biển - extremely (adv): vô cùng, - raw (adj): thô, chưa qua chế biến - sewage (n): nước cống, chất thải - pump (v): bơm - guilty (adj): có tội, đáng khiển trách - drop (v): làm rơi xuống, thả xuống - spill (v): tràn - vessel (n): tàu thuyền - marine life: đời sống đại dương - waste material: chất thải - carelessness (n): vô ý thức - deliberate (adj): cố ý - T introduces the topic of the lesson - Teacher asks students some questions How are our Oceans polluted?
