I/ WARM-UP : ( 3’ )
* Answer the questions:
1. Have you ever used the public telephone?
2. Is it easy or difficult to use it?
3. Can you tell me how to use it?
II/ PRE- WRITING:
*Task 1: (5’) Read the following set of instructions on how to use a public telephone
and then find out the connectors and the imperative form of the verbs
from the instruction.
- Questions :
1.What do you need before making a public call?
2.How do you operate the telephone?
3.What telephone numbers should you know in emergencies?
-Connectors: First, next, then, until.
-Imperative form: Positive: Verb- infinitive

1. If you want to operate the TV with the remote control, you have to make
sure that the cord is plugged in and the main is turned on.
2. - To turn on the TV, press the power button.
- To turn off the TV, press the power again.
3. To select a programme, press the programme button.
4. - To watch VTV1, press the button number 1.
- To watch VTV2, press the button number 2.
5. To adjust the volume, press the volume button up or down.
6. If you don't want to hear the sound, press the mute button.
