UNIT 1: FAMILY LIFE LESSON 8: LOOKING BACK Period: 8 Class: 10D1 Teaching date: I. Objectives: By the end of lesson the students can - use words and phrases related to topic "Household chores" to talk about sharing housework in their family. - pronounce and recognize the clusters /tr/, /kr/, /br/ - realize the difference between present simple and present continuous about the family life in Vietnam and Singapore II. Contents: - review the vocabulary about household chores - practice pronouncing /tr/, /kr/, /br/ - give the correct verb form III. Teaching aids: - Textbooks, cd player, projector IV. Procedures: Teacher/Students Contents Pronunciation - T introduces the task and plays the CD, sts listen and circle the cluster they hear - T assigns /tr/, /kr/, /br/ to 3 lines/rows of students then read 4/5 sentences containing all three clusters. Sts listen and react by clapping their hands. 1. cream, brush 2. crash, tree, traffic 3. try, create, brother 4. brown, bread, breakfast 5.brave, travelling, train 6. true, crime, increase Vocabulary 1 - T ask sts to speak out the words under each pictures then let them write in their books. - T helps if there is a new word - T checks by saying the number Answers: 1. cooking 2.
